I was disconnected at lap 51/52 and from what I read below so did Jeff.
I was running close to 4/5/6 guys after the fuel strategy shook out since was on 2 stops and others were on 3 it would appear.
Big Big Apology to everyone about my going off on formation lap. It wasn't a spin but went off into the grass at the last chicane and tried to get back on quickly. This cost the field 4 1/2 seconds behind 1/2 qualifers so Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, guys.
I was much slower at start due to heavy fuel load but by the end was within a couple seconds of 4/5/6 and a couple guys hadn't mnade final stop yet I think.
What do you guys think about asking the stewards to change the rules to formation lap / standing start which is much more fun in my opinion? I really prefer that type of start because I have also been caught behind other cars during these so called Rolling starts which always seen to give a big advantadge to the top 5 typically?
