Bah. Was all ready for this one. Was turning 51.2's in practice. Came in to get ready to qualify but had to restart the comp. Came back in to qualify with about 1 minute left.
I start the race and cleanly get up to 12th within a few laps. Around lap 8 I spun myself out and lost the front wing. Feel back to 21st and had to start all over again. Shifted the brake bias WAY back to help me turn in with trail braking--all I could do to help compensate. By race end I was up into 13th place. Guess it's better than nothing.
A note to Wyatt. Mate, I'm sorry we got tangled up when you were in first. But (and I verified this in replay), I did stay to the outside going into the last turn, planning to stay outside until you and 2nd spot cleared me. You broke the back end lose while inside and slide out into me, breaking me loose to the inside. I'm sorry you lost first position there, but there was absolutely nothing I could do. But again, I do feel bad for you that the mishap occurred...
(Edit: thanks for the mail, mate--glad to know there's no hard feelings :) )
Great racing everyone. See ya's next time :)
