What a rush lol!

Qualifying for me started terribly when I bumped into the back of Sam Emmett who in turn bumped into the back of Matjaz! In my defence, as I pulled upto the lights Sam was nowhere to be seen and so I slowed to pull up behind Matjaz, Sam suddenly appeared! DOH!

Still, I got in a decent enough lap for 2nd despite the damage I picked up, but was left a little dissapointed I couldn't get closer to Jack on pole.

Race start wasn't the best, I knew that I was fairly quick in race trim and so decided to push early on to pass Jack, unfortunately, I ballsed up the move I tried to make when I snatched a brake entering T3, I ran wide and bumped into Jack, knocking him wide (sorry dude) and in an effort to let him back through the next couple of guys snuck through as well.

Was fighting hard with Sam and Felipe Garcia Catalan, managing to pass Sam and then pester Felipe for a couple of laps. I got close to passing Felipe when he made a mistake out of T1 but he defended excellently and I was unable to go through. With the Adrenaline pumping I continued the chase.

Unfortunately, it was not to last. Exiting the loop at the back of the circuit I lost it and spun out, unfortunately Sam was left with nowhere to go and ran into me. I don't know if he picked up any damage and I can only apologise if he did. I myself picked up a puncture and suspension damage. I stopped, going a lap down and rejoined about 30 seconds down from the back of the pack. Unfortunately, my suspension troubles remained and I was veering to the right under braking, I held up Richard when I tried to let him past whilst trying to control a slide also.

I parked it not long after that. I guess I can take consolation in the fact that I scored the fastest lap of the race, had I not got over excited at the start I could probably have kept Jack honest.

Was fun as hell while it lasted! LONG LIVE THE RHEZ!

I qualified poorly after hitting a bump rejoining the short circuit and slid into the wall. Wrecked my tyres and any hope of hitting a 1:24. Not that it would have mattered with Alien boy over there doing a 1:22!! LOL!

Race was short and sweet, was all over Andre for the first lap and when I made a move on him into the chicane I lost it on a bump (again) and stuffed it into the outside wall. Both wings gone and suspension knackered. At 2:44am I wasn't prepared to limp around for the rest of the race so I called it a day.

All in all, I think I was simply too tired by the end of practice and went down hill from there. I've got so much work to do on my setup!

I'd like to start my post-race with an apology to Dennis Cummings, I was trying to make a pass on him in the early stages of the race going into T2. Under braking I went through a dip on the inside of the track I hadn't noticed before and found myself locked up and sliding into Dennis. Sorry mate.

Qual was good, didn't quite hit my PB but I was pleased with 3rd none-the-less. and what a lap from Conor! I can't even begin to understand where his speed comes from.

In the race I let a mixture of inexperience and over-eagerness get the better of me. After spinning out of 3rd on lap 3 I was down the field. I managed to force my way back, getting into various battles with pretty much every driver in front! lol

I had a couple of heart stopping moments about mid-distance when I nearly slammed into the back of Richard Johnstone in T1, I think he had a bobble going in and then spun out on exit.

Then, I had Gary Hendrick run into my side when rejoining the track... I don't think he had intended to re-enter as quickly as he did, in fact it looked more like he slid back on!

In the end I had caught Dennis Morissette and passed him once, before spinning out (sigh) and letting him back through. I caught him again quickly but I needn't have bothered because I needed a splash and dash anyway!

Good racing guys, enjoyed fighting back towards the front, dissapointed that I spun out early on as looking at the lap times I had good pace.

Hearty congratulations to Ivan, he must have driven an absolute blinder to pull back the gap I had over him before the pitstops.

Qualifying was irritating as I could not for the life of me find any grip. Scraped together a half-decent lap but was miffed as in practice I was confident I could go down to the mid 13's.

Had a great start to the race and put a gap between me and the following cars, leading upto my stop however I was really struggling with the backmarkers. I seemed to be down on straightline speed but was very fast round the technical parts of the lap which meant I would catch guys at the worst possible moment. A couple of times I was held up quite badly, I think this was as much a reflection on my own inexperience of dealing with lapped cars as it was the inexperience of the cars I was lapping. I tried to use my headlights sparingly just to warn drivers of my presence, apologies if anyone misconstrued that as me bullying them.

Just one thing I'll say if I can, please DON'T slow mid corner, particularly in a fast corner such as T1. on three seperate ocassions I had to take avoiding action when drivers stood on the brakes just as I was closing on them. Hold your line till the following straight and let the leader do the work.

Otherwise, I quite enjoyed the race, after my pitstop I was behind Ivan. I pushed too hard trying to catch him on my outlap and half-spun putting me 13 seconds behind. Had I not done so I think I would have been right on his ass at the end.

Congratulations Ivan buddy and well done to everyone for a largely faultless race.

I was pleased to set my pb. in qual, I had been struggling with the car/track combo with the BMW after having run with the Lacetti last season.

I got a reasonably good start to the race, passing Darren into the first hard right-hander of the lap. I probably could have pressured Pete Bunce there as well knowing the advantage of the BMW off the line, but Pete cooly defended into T1 I had to settle. Not that it would have mattered as both Pete and Jack had the pace to easily pull away anyway!

There followed a great scrap with Darren with him nipping at my heels all the way round the lap. I seemed to only have an advantage in straight line speed otherwise he would have gone straight by me with little trouble such was his pace here.

Unfortunately I ran into the stranded JR on lap 6, he had done a good job of keeping it as far to one side as possible, but the lack of in-game yellow flags at that moment combined with my distraction of Darren in the mirrors led to me broadsiding JR.

Managed to do a quick three point turn on the tightest part of the circuit and miraculously still had Darren behind me! Although I soon discovered that my straightline speed advantage had been removed with a damaged engine. I was only pulling 130mph down the back straight whereas before I was hitting 160mph by the braking zone.

The pitstop I took was lengthened because of the damage I had received... irritating considering that the lazy buggers didn't bother to replace my tyres or even fix the damage!

I think my tyres may have gone off quicker than those following because I was having to push so hard through the twisties to make up the time I was losing on the straights. By the end of the race Peter De Paoli was all over me and it took all I had in me to keep him behind me.

Exciting end to the season! It's a shame that personal circumstances hit me earlier on in the season when I was just getting into my stride with these cars, who knows... maybe I could have done even better in the championship!

Great racing this season guys and congrats to Scott on a well deserved title.

Cardinal: car·di·nal adj.
Of foremost importance; paramount: a cardinal rule

Those involved: go read the cardinal rule about chatting in Qual and race. [/rant]

..

In Qualifying I got baulked quite badly on my fastest lap. Managed only 4th on the grid. Like Pablo I got a fantastic start and jumped up to 2nd. Pablo seemed to be struggling through the medium and higher speed corners on his hard tyres and so I was able to capitalise and run close behind. I think he got distracted running into the hairpin on lap 3 or 4 and I squeezed by to take the lead.

I tried to put a gap between Pablo, Richard and myself. It would appear that Richard managed to dispatch with Pablo and so started to track me down. With about 5 laps to go he was all over my rear end. He was very quick in the second sector and I had a slight edge in the third. He knew this and was applying massive pressure through that difficult section. I ran wide in the left hand sweeper after the hairpin and he shuffled through to take the lead. Fortunately, I seemed to be quick through the final turn and tucked in underneath to retake the lead. On the final lap Richard made a mistake at the end of sector 1 and I was able to pull a 3 second gap.

Overall was suprised to take the win, especially against two very high-quality opponents. I was also pleased to see that the practice I had put in on my defensive driving skills paid off.

Thanks for the great racing guys!

If it was TS and ARCA almost certain a connection belch IMO.

Shocker of an event for me. Turned up on the server this afternoon with no practice. Watched Tom and Pete's lines for 5-10 minutes and then put in a couple of hundred laps. Only really had time to work on gearing and ride-height. Fortunately I seemed to get it all right over the course of a single lap and was running 17.0's. Was shocked to see Tom turn a 16.79 in practice... you animal! lol!

Things went tits up from qualifying onwards. Was easily on for 2nd on the grid and what do I do? Forget to load my Q setup that's what... dumbass.

Race was a case of trying to find room; unfortunately I think my mind began to wander and I ran into the back of Ruslan idioticly on lap 2. Was standing on the brakes trying to avoid it, and with the lightest of touches he looped into a slow spin. What a bitch it is when that happens. Tried to let him back through but I think he may have been a little bit confused by my slowing to let him through and the traffic was preventing him to go by anyway.

I gave up and called it a bad job after going 2 laps down.

I don't think I'll bother with DuQuoin... might be persuaded through boredom but the idea of racing these things on dirt sounds about as appealing as banging my balls in the door.

Bleh, was running well with Ivan at the front before making a mistake and allowing him and third place through. Fought back into second and then made a bigger mistake where I damaged the car after hitting one of the floating tyre barriers. Car had chronic left pull after that for the rest of the race.

Battling with Ivan was really fun though, on this tight and twisty track it was very difficult to make any sort of move without banging wheels. Sorry if you felt I was being unduly rough at all mate.

The warm up lap was pretty cool, I was nearly taken out by someone spinning across the track from the other side of the hairpin. Rest of the race was a blur after that!
