Was happy to qualify 4th with a personal best lap. Held 4th in the early laps, which became 3rd when Andrew spun. Had to make my first stop 1 lap earlier than planned, and had a slow one, rejoining in 9th. Had a steady race from there, gradually catching and passing others. Had a good battle with Jim for a few laps. Passed him on the outside going into T1, but slid onto the grass. 2 laps later I had the inside, and made it stick, but being on a tighter line, I slowed a bit sooner, which must have caught Jim out, as he tagged my rear and spun me around.

Not for the first time in this league, I made a total mess of my fuel calculations. I just saw the paper where I had worked it out, and no wonder I ran low, I was working on 45min after the 1st stop, instead of 60 (blush). I found I was about 5 litres short to do the last lap, and try and get past Mike for 3rd (I had closed 8 seconds in 8 mins) so a splash and dash before the last lap, dropped me to 5th behind Sam.

Oh well, hope for better next time.
