Totally threw that away. Had championship in the bag up until 7 laps to go when pushing to try and close the gap, caught way too much kerb on the inside of the chicane and spun me round into the barrier, one rear wing gone, one championship gone.

Car was fast enough to win, driver was too fast. Got messed up coming round to lap Allen and took a very shallow line into swimming pool which put me onto the yellow block and chucked me towards the wall. Lost part of the rear wing, 135 seconds for damage. Decided I could still win but would have to be awesomely quick. Had made up a decent amount of time and had unlapped myself but slid off and lost the front wing, 14 seconds. Decided would try making it to the end of the race on full fuel so drove more conservatively, slid off lost front wing, 35 seconds. Shame as I had quite a good rythm going, just couldn't get back what I'd lost. Good win Al.

Well, got to lap 4 and I was safely stuck in 3rd, was pulling away slightly from 4th and being dropped by 1st and 2nd so fired up my mp3 player to have a listen to that while I drove the rest of the race in 3rd. Then the front two dropped off.

A wonder I came 3rd at all, went off at least 8 times, spun more than 3 and couldn't get anywhere close to the times people in front were achieving. Bit disappointed as I felt the car was hooking up most of the time (other than the offs)but the lap times didn't reflect it. Practically dragged it over the line with damage on all fronts.

Finally won an F1 race here, after several near misses.
Qualifying went well after a few months away from these cars and I lined up 3rd behind Tristan and David. Didn't get the best start but it looked like the right side got a better start anyways as David went past Tristan and Allen came past me. Held 4th for quite a while in the first stint until David started dropping back. I had managed to hold on quite well with the leaders, did imagine that they were faster so to be holding them was quite good. Once Tristan pitted I upped my pace as I still had a good amount of laps left to make up some time on low fuel. Allen pitted next lap and I dropped into the 1.30's.
After going through my pit stall and having to reverse back in, I made it out in front of Tristan and managed to open a slight gap. Once again Tristan pitted earlier so made up a bit more time but Allen had started bothering him so had made a bit of time while they were fighting which left me clear (barring a mistake) till the end.
Was happy to win with the set I had as it kept locking the rears up into the corners, nearly went off a few times and had to adjust brake bias throughout but I had made sure that my brake duct was 7 as to make certain there would be no brake issues come lap 50 like last time out.
Congrats to Allen for making it Pinnacle 1-2 and Tristan for podium.
