Steve gets very sideways to let me get back into 2nd

Well, I went from hero (a good start into the lead) to zero (falling off the track) within half a lap...

The rest of the race was great fun though, some nice battles on the way and helped by other people falling off track or finding the wall. As Francisco says, we had a slight coming together which sent me into a bit of a tank slapper (no apology necessary); but I was able to hold it.

Congrats to John for the win, showing how it should be done!
