Lots of good close battles alround, including myself, until I hit the marker post and totalled the car.

Phillie on TS said that was quite a feat as these are well built, but unfortunately that finished the race before half way for me.

Getting used to these but really do feel like getting out and pushing on occasion!

Well done Zak again and Julio for keeping him honest most of the way.

So, with a late sign in and no pratice time before I wasn't expecting much of it other than probably would result in a fun and always loyal competition with Lynce. Good thing I knew the track layout quite well as I've tried it before with some other mods before it was available for us at R2P.

Thanks André for the set, that saved me time to adjust the suspension and tire pressure.

Even though I was the slowest in qualy I was hoping to gain confidence with the car and to figure out better braking points. This would allow a pace to, at least, fight for not being the last to cross the finish line.

I managed to improve my times and get some racing action with Luís Lynce just as I was hoping. For several laps I noticed he was slower on the twisty uphil downhil parts of the circuit and i was consistently slower when braking for T1. So my moves occurred always on the slopes! Very fun Luís!

Cheers

Winning when you really shouldn't has a great taste.

Honestly, I was surprised how things worked out. I didn't have the best car. It was a close second.. more third best to be honest. JD and Brad had at differing times, the better car on me.

Unfortunately for them, they ended up getting caught up after everything got a little crazy on the second to last restart. I had taken a bit of a gamble on two tires which had put me ahead of JD and Brad.. which may have saved me in that little incident.

On the final restart, managed to get under Darren into one and quickly saw off Anton. Everything went to plan then. The gaggle behind me struggled to get around Anton as quick as me which allowed me to gap the field.

By the time they were all sorted out, I had nearly a three second cushion and just focused on hitting my marks. Also got to enjoy Darren and Johnny going at it.

Sometimes, you lose races you should've won. On others, you win races you probably shouldn't of. This was definitely one of the latter ones. I feel for JD and Brad who had great cars.. but will enjoy this win thoroughly!

Fun race guys!

I got the outside pole to start the race but got a driving too slow penalty that put me in the back of the pack to start. After 30 laps I had worked my way back to the front and caught the top 3 then the first caution came out. Later in the race I was battling for the lead with Fernando and I had a screen freeze for a few seconds which luckily didn't cause any problems for anyone else. When the screen fixed itself and I was back to racing and quickly drafted my way back to the front. Even with the obstacles I stayed with it to the end driving hard and found a way to pull out a win.

Congrats to my teammates Brad and Jim for their top 5 finishes.

That, was a long race. I have to say - at one point in the run-up, I was ready to call it a day. Was awful everywhere - turn-in, mid corner, exit.. even on a straight! By the end of practice, I hadn't strung together ten laps.

So the race result was a pleasant surprise. Early on, had no answer to the front guys. Fernando in my mirrors scared me given his braking lines compared to mine! My car was awfully skittish in the braking zone, to the point the rear end was often snapping - a problem I just couldn't fix in practice.

So I decided to start get off sequence to try to fix the problem. Took a spring rubber and dropped the tyre pressures and I actually got the car.. driverable.

Off sequence during one stint, hauled in Darren and Fernando and had a good little dice. Think I got into your bumper at one point Darren, so sorry about that!

Back on sequence for the final long stint - had no answer for Johnny. Held off Darren long enough till his car started falling off. Mine did too - but driver managed it (for once lately!)

We had a great final run.. nearly fifty laps. Was awesome stuff. Turned out I was the last one on the lead lap with time ticking. Decided to pit and try for one final run - knowing there was no lucky dog. Of course, when I decided to come in to fix more damage next time around, I forgot that everyone lined up as is - leaving me as far away from Johnny as possible!

Doubtful, even if I was lined up behind him that I might of had a chance in one lap only. His starts were awesome. In fact - his car was bloody perfect. Quali; Short runs; Long runs - you name it, he had the best car. All that hard work paid off. Well deserved.

Second is good result. It repairs some of the damage done by the poor finish at Daytona. I'm still playing catch-up but the next few events I feel good about so - who knows!

Hi,

Unfortunatly a race like this with no yellows makes it almost impossible to do anything. I had a awesome run with Nick and other 3 guys, until I thought I ran out of fuel. Pited but when I got it I wasnt lukcy with who I teamed with. They must had some bad damage on their cars cause I was almost faster alone . . . The leaders came by but they were just too fast to follow!

Anyway, it was good fun!

I caught nice drafting group after start but early I was separated from them by Graham who had some problems in turn. Than we ran together many laps but we were not fast enough. I believed in yellow which has not come. Later lead group came but I failed to join them.
After Grahams pit I was cought by Darren and it was nice run but I had to pit after couple of laps. Oh my pitstops! Wrong again. I was too fast and I had to change and go back to track. Across the grass of course! I lost speed as well as some position. Pit next lap.
Then driving alone for long time till caught by Andy. Andy I could not believe how fast you were closing! I hope I did not retard you but I did not noticed any intention to pass me from your side and I deduced you are going to draft with me. Later when faster group came I let you go. Well with help of Andy I was closing to Mike and that gave me hope to improve my result but Mike defended well and gave me little chance to pass him. Well done Mike. I have lot of things to learn in stock car racing.

Another consistent race to mark my first plate race. Didn't feel confident on the Quali setup but that doesn't really count around here.

Got a good start, and avoided all the early mess to form up in a 6-car train with Rob, Johnny, Darren, Heinz and Phil. Ran a good few laps before Johnny dropped off and Johnny and Heinz peeled off into pit lane, leaving three of us out front. Came to a decision with Phil to only fill her up at the stop without taking on tyres - and in hindsight this was a move which won us the race. Unfortunately Rob made a mistake coming out of the pits and we were left to our own devices.

Phil and I ran a good two-car pace with the pack behind not really catching us. Phil made a slight touch with the apron about with about 20 to go, and I backed out and went high just in case - but went too high and smacked the wall, which left me with red damage up the side of my car. Managed to stick with Phil though and we got around to the end with no further troubles. All in all a fun race, and Phil thoroughly deserved his victory :) Although, three podiums on the run without a win will start to get a little frustrating for me!

Finally, a big thanks to the lapped cars out there - you made it safe and easy for us to come through without harming your own races, which is a big bonus!

Wow, what a race!

A lot of time spent in pre-race getting the car where I wanted. In previous races, the available v4 setups weren't that kind to me - but this one was an excellent base. Team work helped to get the car perfect, as we all pitched in.

I was surprised to take pole. Johnny showed great pace in practice and someone like Tom is always a threat. First ever stock car pole. Brilliant.

I have to say, leading off the field was... nervy. Felt pressure to get it right. I'd like to think my leading of the lines were okay. First one felt a bit close, as it warned me I was going a bit too quick! But yeah, hopefully they were grand. I worked to keep them steady.

So - off we went. Bloody nervy up front. Car felt good. I stayed out on the first few cautions, before coming in. Man, I feel so isolated as a leader. So far, the mentality as a stock car rookie is - follow the vets. Doesn't help when the vet is behind you though!

This caught me out late in the run, when everyone but me and Sam came down. Felt so alone! And when Rob (a lap down) just shot off into turn one, definitely felt it was a bad decision.

It took some solid driving by both of us to hold our positions on worn tires. Next yellow, came down! This was the race changer, as Johnny stayed out with the Core lads. Shepard was sluggish off the line and I used my fresh rubber to jump on him straight off the bat. On then to Darren - which involved going three wide.

I tell you, I don't usually class myself as an aggressive 'get the job done' sort of guy - but today I was. I hunted down Johnny, burning those tires up.

Once clear, just pushed on. Soon, Sam cleared the group behind and hunted me down. Right at the end, we were nose to tail. My tires were going off and he just had the edge on me. Just tried to keep the car low and stop to him getting a run on me.

Awesome stuff with Sam. A final yellow ended the race and while finishing under green would've been nice, from a personal stand point I was happy for it to end!

First ever stock car victory. Heck yah! Awesome!
