Is there a working no-DVD patch anywhere soI could get rid of swapping GTL and GTR2 discs all the time. If game-politically incorrect question/answer PM me. |

Not sure there is one Finn. But there is for everything else so that's the only disc that stays in for me. |

Watch out where you go when looking for a no-cd patch. I've ended up with some really nasty virus/whatever messing up my PC! I would also like to know if and where there is a DVD patch. Dan |

Hey Johan m8!! Dont think there is one for GTL as it's starforce crap! May be theres a long winded workaround but its not worth the bother! Cheerio

Just found this thread. There is no plug in "no DVD patch". But I have seen a couple of posts on other forums about a long winded way around it. You need to make a mirror of the game, and I think you have to disable your DVD, and load some proxy starforce drivers or something. It's a lot of trouble. I just leave my disc in, as I play it so much. My concern is when the disc finallly craps out after long use, then that's it. Game Over Man. |

GTL does indeed have protection that needs lots of messing about. However leave the GTL disc in the machine, and run the GTR2 "No CD" option instead: Edit: [Link deleted] Thanks Scott. My Bad... Back of the class & 100 Lines: "I must not........" PS - Can someone tell me WHY? ;) |
