im starting this topic as ive been looking on R2P and see people posting they are having problems getting to grips with there new toy and that it doesnt 'feel' right. ive helped a few people now sending them PM's and got a welcome thank you (no problem btw ;p) so instead of doing that i could it would be a good idea to post set-up/guides in 1 place so people can choose what they like for themselves. i just ask you keep it simple and cover everything. ive tried to do this in mine. |

ok hers my attempt :) NOTE: THIS IS FOR GTR2 MAINLY. I USE THIS FOR GTL AND RFACTOR BUT THERE ARE DIFFERENCES IN THE GAMES the way i set the g25 is how I think a car should feel. for example, when it understeers i feel the wheel go loose like it does in a real car. i only know how to do this in gtr2, not figured out rF or gtl yet. 1st off u need to create a profile in your logitech profiler (the W by the pc clock) if you havnt do already, for GTR2. when u have done that launch the game. go into controls make sure the g25 is selected in Joy1. click advanced. set ur steering to 100% and ur speed sensitivity steering is at 60% all dead zones should be at 0% i have throttle, brake, clutch at 0% too. click force. in the specialised effect click the g25. the force feedback should be set to low and 100% make sure reverse effects are on! go back into advanced and buttons to make sure everything is still the same, if not just remap them. close the game. Open ur Logitech profiler again. Make sure GTR2 is selected Then at the top of the screen go: Edit > specific game settings Tick ‘use special force feedback settings’ and move everything to 100% Enable centre spring should NOT be tick and set it to 100% Special steering wheel setting should be ticked Report combined pedals should NOT be ticked Set ur degree of steering as close to 240 as possible (mines 236) Click ok. Close the profiler Now you should be set. Every time you want to play though remember to start it through the profiler. Right click the W > launch a game > GTR2 Or you settings will not load (well I don’t think they will, they might ) Hope this helps you and I hope you subscribe to the g25 club Good luck Craig |

Jeezus, Craig, you must have arms like a friggin gorilla! At 100% I can barely turn the wheel! 25% is quite enough for this old fart. But thanks for the tips, apart from that it's spot on. |

i read somewhere that GTR2 only used 240 degrees so thats what u should set the wheel to...i find if when i can. re: force feedback its only on 100% because the effects are on low, anything about that and yes u can bearly do a few laps :) |

I'm using 360 degrees of rotation with GTR2 and everything works OK. 240 feels way too narrow for me. What do you guys use? |
