ive set-up the team!

ill send invites to anyone who has said they are up for racing innit in previous threads. anyone who wants to join just post in this thread or send me a pm.

only rule for the team is that u MUST use a clutch pedal (not a button) and race with "everything off" this means no driving aids.

this of course only applies when u are racing under the team name.

also any suggestions please say.

I noticed that while driving the BMW M3 I could pretty much shift without using the clutch except with respect for transitioning from 2nd to 1st gear. When down shifting from 2nd to 1st if you don't use the clutch, you'll get too much oversteer and can lose control and spin the vehicle. Auto clutch is off by the way. I do almost all my braking before entering a curve so the vehicle is straight while braking. I'm only having to heel to toe going from 2nd to 1st. Sometimes from 3rd to 2nd but rarely. Not sure if this will work with other vehicles though.

So clutch is a must even on downshifts?

ok first things first...

what series do you want to race in?

i will only be racing in the euro events as the US ones are 1:30-3:30am for me.

i will be racing in the V8 GTR2 mini series using under HTR (Heel-toe Racing) and also the VVC.

i am also thinking of doing the Porsche Racing Challenge but this all depends how much time i have.

the GT3 cup and BMW i will continue to race under MTR (Marsh Team Racing)

any other suggestions?

Accepted and posted in the team group area.

Gonna run the 2 hour rF World Challenge race today, H shifting and clutching the whole way!

I probably have to unregister and reregister, guess I'll see in a minute.

Thanks for setting up the team!

I'll probably run this way for GTL and FT races, as I think that's where the concept lends itself the best. I'll be curious to compare the experience and results with how I've done before when using auto-clutch.

F3 and some of the higher-end GTR machines are probably better driven in 'semi-auto' mode, at least for me.
