I'm not an Aussie, but just like to say hello! : ) Kinda weird that not even one response to your question. I had a lot of fun with GTL, but with so many races here at R2P, I had to drastically cut back or find myself in the doghouse with the little lady! 8/ If you don't get hooked up with your Aussie mates, there are plenty of others here at R2P who enjoy GTL. Found this cool website.
G'day mate! Dan |

Thanks for the hello Dan. I am very into this game, and was hoping to find people in my own time zone. Unfortunately all the races here that I'm interested in are at 3am my time (I'm assuming the race times shown are adjusted to the time zone you plug in for your own area). Yes, the Aussie language can be quite colourful (and hard to understand if used to it's fullest). Thankfully the brown eyed mullet is a reasonabley scarce creature. |

I personally would like to see some Aussie timezone events, mostly because I like racing in the mornings (ie, if we scheduled a race at 7pm in Francis's timezone, it would be 10am here). So we could schedule some races that are Austrailian and European friendly. Problem is that we would rule out the whole of America, and lets face it, they make up the majority of the members here. |

I think Australia evening would be around 2-3am pacific time(USA). This would be great for me as far as weekday races are concerned(and weekends). I work 2nd shift and get home around 1-1:30am PST. I have selected 3am PST on my survey as one of the times I'd like to see some R2P events. I'm going to add 2,4 and 5am also. Let's see if we can get enough of the membership to also select similar times(UTC?) Earliest for me would be 10UTC(2am PST) during the week, anytime on weekends. I'll select GTL and V8's(of course!) for this time slot. Dan |

Guys, if you are interested, I am invloved in an event every Saturday at 9:00am GMT or 8:00pm AEDST. We run single make or matched cars at the Nordschleife track. It's just a bit of fun, nothing serious. Only 2 laps (thats a 8 to 9 minute lap) per event, then we take a short break (learn the track, toilet stop, refresh our drinks, get more chips, etc), then do it again. After this we run an enduro, once again with a single make, but different track, 30 laps (or there abouts) with 2x fuel to force a pit stop. These races are hosted by gamers-crib in the public GTL lobby. If you can get on teamspeak via G-C IP, it is a barrel of laughs. We have participants from all over ie: UK, US, Germany, Holland, Australia. (I hope this post doesn't breach any forum rules). |

I did a small edit, the enduro is held at a different track. Whoops, 30 laps of Nords would take at least 4 1/2 hours. :-o |
