After a fresh install of rFactor the XD plugin doesn't work anymore. I tried the 2.1.9, the 2.1.8 and the 2.1.5 version. With the previous install it worked.
I don't know why.

Just curious about your rFactor version you installed. Is it a from a CD or Online download. your rFactor needs to be 1255(F) for the XD to work. And was there already a d3d9.dll in rFactor when you installed the HUD. You will have to rename the prior dll file before installing XD,
These are the common problems when installing HUDs.
Just a suggestion, try to install XD 2.1.2 first and upgrade from there if the above I mentions still fails.
Edit: I just installed 2.1.9 and dropped it in my root folder. It works OK other then had to Ctrl(F) to stop the flickering.

I have the cd version of rFactor. With my previous install the XD plugin worked fine, no problem at all. But i remember there was a file called d3d9.dll into the rFactor root directory and i renamed it before to copy into the xd plugin. Now, i haven't found that file. My version of rFactor is 1255, I don't know what revision (maybe F).
I'm going to install version 2.1.2.

I've had the exact the same problem with the download version. Never figured out what was causing it...if you figure it out let me know please. :)
For now I've just used older versions...

Recently I had some problem with the XD plugin, the latest version doesn't work anymore.
I downloaded that plugin here (version 2.1.2):
and copied the d3d9.dll file into the main rFactor folder.
After the first launch of rFactor, a configuration file will be created in the same folder, and you can change it content like you want.
I don't know what is your problem.
