Daniel is asking for this track to be reviewed. It must be reviewed by 3 people to be approved.

Getting an error opening mas file sky.mas and shuts down rFactor.

No problems here, track opened , ran some laps, nothing like a nice simple gokart track lol
Cutting track gives a no lap time, more testing tomorrow...

Used a different link (file planet) and worked fine. The first link seems to be bad for me.
Penalties work. It will not count lap if you cut. I had to jump the track as there really is nowhere to cut here. You'll pay in other ways! Good job on the infield.
Pit speed = penalty
Jump the start= penalty
Leave pit on red= penalty
No bogus penalties
Engine will and does blow up
Tire wear is appropiate and works
Pit stops work fine
Headlights suck. Can't see a thing :-O
All starting positions have visable lights
No bogus holes along walls, curbing or infield. Tested considerably and found nothing.
The ad boards along the track (the ones on the ground)will slow you and damage your kart. Beware...they roll and flip slow and for quite a while. If it gets knocked onto the track other karts will hit it. It was still moving when I came around again and I knocked it for another loop.
Curbs aren't bad for karts. They slow you down and will grab tires if your not careful.
Frame rate if very good

I can corroborate Barry's findings. Start lights are fine, pit in and out lights work properly. I jumped a start, got a driver thru penalty, drove thru and it cleared. I sped in the pits, got a drive thru penalty,
subsequently drove thu and cleared it.
I made it a point to drive all over the place, off the track, looking for hidden pitfalls, tumbling into infinity places, etc. and could not find
any anywhere near the racing surface, this is a well constructed track.
I cut the track, got a warning. I cut it again, and that lap
was not recorded for me. I cut the track big time and that lap also
was not recorded for me. Going thru the pits at pit speed, that lap recorded properly for me.
Evidently this mod has no provision for virtual mirrors, mine would not work; to double check, I tried another mod/different
track and made sure they were turned on, which they were. Back
to the karts and this track and no virtual mirrors. I guess that is how
kart racing is, I don't know much about it.
I should mention that i only tested the clockwise track as I am assuming that is the track direction that will be used.
As I said I agree with Barry's assessments and feel this track
is good to go for competition.

Thanks so much Barry and Norm. You guys are top notch! But Norm were you really "TRYING" to drive all over the place? LOL.
Can we get one more review?

I've downloaded the Diamond Kart track before with the 200cc engine. I was using it for the Racing Dreamz kids to practice. Personally, if this is the same track, I loved it. I had it on my other racing computer before lightning struck. I plan on getting rFactorcentral again and download what I lost.
But this track is terrific. Racing the AI, I managed a few wins but it was very hard to do that. Kart sim racing is extremely challenging but fun. R2P would do good to start having kart races. Alot of people would sign up for this.
This track gets a two thumbs up from me and the Racing Dreamz kids.

After my eyeballs settled back into their sockets from lapping in these turn on a dime peel and stick rockets, I sorta found some consistency. Gave both clock/counter versions a go.
Speeding in the pits results in a points fine.
Jumping the start resulted with a stop and go.
Track has curbing that can pull you off and onto the grass and has the proper sliding effect. As Barry mentioned, with such tight surrounding's cutting the track was hard to do, and with guard rails in place in some locations, aided in stopping the kart from falling off/onto other sections of the track. Some corners were the curbing can pull you into sand traps has the desired results, but nothing like "Brands Hatch sand"
Tested with 30 karts and had no frame rate issues
Start lights were fine from the back of the grid
Didn't encounter any pit stall problems during practice mode
Didn't find any strange holes or curbing that causes any undesired effects on the kart
Hope this brief summery of Diamond counter and clockwise kart track is helpful.
