Anybody else like to try some vintage tracks for these vintage cars? There are some excellent 60's and 70's add-on tracks out there that suit these cars much better the default tracks.
I know in the past Tim mentioned some logistical obstacles to using add-on tracks in GTL. If it's a matter of workload, I'm willing to put in some hours to make it happen. |

It is more the matter of everyone having to download it, install it, and for it to work properly. Not everyone is very computer savvy. |

Tim I understand. Maybe we could pick 2 or 3 of the best ones and put them in an exe package that installs idiot-proof. |

There are a couple of tracks that are not on the current roster (Monza, Hockenheim) as well as a number of the track variants that are not used either. There are also a vast number of other track/class combinations. We could have a whole series based on only one class of car (ie. GTC-65 only etc) Another option that I saw somewhere (can't recall where though.....): Car/track combo is announced the week prior to the running of the race. Every driver runs the same car for that race. (ie. next Saturday, we run 30 laps at Donington Park National in E-Type Jags - one mandatory pit-stop) I'm not fundamentally opposed to add-on tracks - I just don't think we've exhausted the possibilities of the resident content. I find any track is fun, no matter how many times I’ve been there, if the competition is good. For that matter, I'm only part way through my first season here as it is, so I'm pretty content with the current system... I would like to see some more series running for this game though. Get kind of tired of racing online sometimes, and two weeks between events is a pretty long wait (especially if it turns out like the last one [Zolder GTC-76]). Most fun I usually have online is when I come across someone who's good at making their car really wide... |
