In the second course, we will take a small step forward in our learning. Participants must continue refining what they have learned in the previous course and expand on it using the following techniques;

- Setup development: Tire pressure, Camber, & Ride height

NOTES;
- Check in at the schedule time, do not be late please.
- A short discussion period will be followed by 10 minutes of track time at which time all participants will discuss the track time with the Mentors.
- Track time will be run in groups. In other words, we do want everyone to go on track together and stay together to practice running around other cars.
- The course will be broken into 4 to 5 smaller segments, as mentioned above, each focusing on specific items.
- The HPDT session will run from roughly 60 minutes in length. Following the course, participants are welcome to run a short race if they wish.

If you would like to see a great example of how camber effects the wheel of a car in racing conditions, this video shows it perfectly.


Left front tire.
Notice how little of the tire is being used for left-hand corners.

That is awesome footage. Something I already know quite well (I'm sure most here do), but I've never seen it illustrated so well.

Great footage Tim, thanks for adding this. About how much negitive chamber you figure was being used? This looks to be pretty drastic.

V8's use around 6° negative camber on front wheels. While the camber is indeed extreme, video depicts tire behaviour very good.
