Which tracks are we planning to run on? Would be interesting to see some of the better add-on tracks. Nordschleife, Caldwell Park, Laguna Seca, Lime Rock, etc.

Season 4 GT Historic schedule

Though I realize that there are some great addon tracks out there, R2P will not use addon tracks in GTL/GTR/GTR2/WTCC and only a few for rFactor.

i see 2 tracks in one day but for different eras/classes? do we pick a class or is it a double header? also do all cars need more than one driver for every series?

2 races, one for each class, on 2 layouts of the same track. Not sure what you mean by the last bit though!

This is a single-driver series

Basically...
You start the season with 10 rental credits. You race in a race and earn/lose rental-credits depending on how well/poor you finish in that race (the worse you finish, the more credits you receive). Those credits are used to "rent" a car for the next event (sometimes two events on the same day) where you will earn/lose credits again. This continues for the remainder of the season.

This was adopted because of the large differences in car physics in GTL. This prevents someone from choosing the best car in class and sticking with it all season. It also really challenges the top-finishers as they have to 'sacrifice' a race sometimes just to earn up some more credits to run a half-way competitive car.

I'm looking forward to this series in '07. I think I'll finally be able to make all of the races :)

Do you have to race both GTC65 and TC65, or can you choose to just go for the championship in TC65?

Good question;

Actually the championship is based off of everyone racing all 3 series (TC65, GTC65, and GTC76). There is not class slecific championships, just driver-specific. Looking at the schedule, each race has a specified class that can be run at that event. All drivers must run the TC65 cars in the TC65 events. And the same applies to the GTC65 and GTC76 events. Add up all the points at the end of the season and you have a driver's championship. To make things hard, comes the rental-credits. The better you finish, the less credits you are awarded to "rent" a car for the next race. This keeps the "alien" in a bit milder cars while the "non-aliens" get the chance to driver the faster cars and compete for wins.

BTW - the rental costs have been updated for Season-4
