Here's a link for the facility that Mike commented on in the GT-I skin thread. Figured to start a separate thread for this topic. A guy I work with has been here and said it's pretty decent. And the event at Lime Rock on July 12th is just another opportunity.

And I imagine there will plenty more beer at Lime Rock than at the kart track too. We're usually a 2-3 cooler party...er I mean picnic! A couple of the large Radio Flyers full of coolers anyway. I also don't think we could fire up a grille and cook some burgers at trackside at the karting facility either. I also have a friend that works for Penske at Mercedes of Fairfield, and he's supposedly able to get hospitality passes. I wouldn't mind eating lunch with Roger Penske. We'll see if he's bullshitting or not.

Hey Bob, I did one of the 3hr Kart races at Lime rock it was a blast, there was 3 of us on a team, we took first in class.

The 6 hr race sounds like a full day of getting"CAR Crazy" eh.

Off topic - it won't let me join an event under the CT entry?
Any clue?

I used to run every single endurance kart race at Lime Rock. Then costs got a little steep. I have a very good friend who is a "real" racer who've I hooked up with for years and run with his team. I have thought about us doing a 6 hour kart race together-- with a four man team it's still expensive but it's a blast. I still think we should just get together at the track in Wallingford, on a Saturday. Let's do it before end of March. We can also do the Lime Rock July 12th thing (I gotta check my schedule, don't know where I will be). Whichever way, I'll bring my camera because we have to counter weigh the get together of the west coasters!

Try again Gregg. My membership lapsed because of an issue wiith PayPal. I don't understand why I couldn't pay my membership with the credit card I have on file at PayPal. They wanted a bank account. You can't pay for services throuh PayPal with a credit card anymore?? Frustrating let me tell ya.

Yeah, I did not realize my membership had expired until this morning when I accidentally hit my account profile page. I saw "Basic" and had a heart-attack. But I had no problem renewing using cc, and have happily contributed to the greatest sim racing organization in the world.

I have visited On Track Karting numerous times and ran a league series there last winter. It is a lot of fun there. I highly recommend it.

I will be attending the ALMS and Grand Am events at Lime Rock this year. I missed the vintage race last year and hope to catch it this summer.

I plan on making it to ALMS this year.

Hey Mike, do you know if On Track is doing any regular arrive-and-drive team endurance events these days? Last year I thought they did 1 or 2 hour races one night a week, but the website makes it look like they don't do that any more.

The Limerock karting schedule is here: schedule, I think we could have a blast if we got the whole team together for an entry in a 6-hr race. EDIT: Yow! That's around $300 per person! Dunno, that'd be highly visible on the wife's radar. We'd probably get more bang for the buck getting together at an autoX event.

I'm not sure Hutch. I went once this winter and did not see anything advertised. In the past, they had flyers on the check-in counter and on the track viewing windows.

I'm happy doing a couple sessions with the group. No need to do a full endurance race. My arms get tired after 10 minutes anyways.

I was going to suggest CART DE at LRP, but that might be a bit of a jump for everyone in their own car without 1st doing autox. AutoX is a good suggestion. It's cheap too! The FCSCC schedule isn't up yet. I'll keep my eye out for it.
