Some common questions and answers and general tips for chapter members new to R2P.
R2P's "Getting Started" page: link.
How do I sign up for an event? Links to PASRL events are right here on the chapter home page. Follow the link to the next event under the "Current Season" heading, then click "Join this event" to sign up. Choose a team (if you belong to any), and a car class for the event. Events are open to sign up one week before each event for basic members, two weeks before for standard, and three weeks before for premium members. There are loads more events available in other series at R2P, click the "Sim Racing" button at the top of the screen to browse for more.
Where do I find PASRL's server? The PASRL server is usually in the game's multiplayer lobby as "Race2Play - PASRL" or "Race2Play - P&G". The race server is usually up 24 hours before the event.
What is the server password? During the week the server is usually up for practice with the default R2P password. You can find it in the "Event Password" tab on your R2P "Dashboard" page, look for "Practice Server Password" . The password is changed on the day of the event, and will be listed under the event heading in the "Events" area on the same page.
Pre- and Post-race forums: R2P features separate forum areas for before and after every event. Click the "Dashboard" button at the top of the page. The "Prerace" and "Postrace" tabs will have an asterisk next to their titles if there are new messages of interest in each section. "Prerace" will automatically monitor the pre-race forums for events you've entered, and "Postrace" will monitor the forums for your completed events. Post in the pre-race area to discuss the upcoming event, lap times, ask setup questions, etc. Post in the post-race area to give us a debrief of how your race went- reading the post-race reports is always very interesting, and one of my favorite things about online racing.
You can find the Prerace forum for the events you've entered, even if there is no new activity, by clicking the event title link in the "Events" section near the upper left of the page.
Time Zones: Event times should be displayed in your local time if you've set your time zone properly. Click the "Dashboard" button at the top of the window, then click "Account Profile" on the left side of the page. Check that the time displayed matches your local time, and edit the time zone to correct it if it doesn't match.
