I am opening up the BMW Challenge "Intro to Online Racing" events to allow more Race2Play members to participate. Keep in mind that these events are primarily for new comers to sim-racing. If the fields fill, please step down to allow a new comer the chance to try his first ever online race.

Is there a way to keep the higher ranked at the bottom of the list, simular to the waiting list? And why does it always tell me I mis-spelled simular. :D

I did some online racing "back in the day" of the early NASCAR sims from Papyrus but online road racing is something I haven't done before. I downloaded the BMW software and did a few, awful practice laps.
What options are used for your online racing so that I might practice as the races are actually run? It seems that competitve lap times should be in the mid 1:40s which seems almost impossible at this point...

We are allowing all aides in these events Jim. Don't worry about being competitive to the top times. There is usually a few others at your same speed so just focus on those safe and consistent lap times.

NO WONDER why I was so SLOW compared to the other drivers! I won't make that mistake again!

Are the races run on Sprint or the longer version?

Sprint track now, but I'd be happy to change to GP track when we fill in the fields a bit more

The next Euro event will be the first time I participate in an organised online race. Many thanks to the guys at SRT for the heads up. I look forward to racing with you all.
