A few questions re: MP I attempted to enter the Race2Play-intro session through the BMW Internet Lobby and was asked for a password. I gave my password and I was denied entry (bad password). Is there a special pw for this ? Also, why was that session and one other highlighted in red? I did gain entry to another session...not sure how that happened. But I was booted after a few laps. I didn't get in anynone's way or cause a incident so I am wondering what that was all about. All in all..not a real good start on my first online encounter. :-( |

Hi Jim, You can find the password on your My R2P page under the "event minders" tab. The placeholder password is used up to the day of the race, at which time a race password will show in that same area. Make sure you do not have cap locks on, the passwords are case sensitive. Red = passworded server I think You are welcome on the Race2Play server all you want, so dont be shy. |

Thanks, Tim It's all there...just a matter of finding it.
My ping rate has been 10-11. Is that adequate? The time of the race is 9:30. I am in the USA Eastern Time Zone. My actual time is 1 hour ahead of the current time on the site so I would actually be racing at 8:30. ??? Does everyone use Teamspeak? Is it necessary for online racing? If so, do you recommend any particular mic? Sorry about all the questions...

Jim, you can go to your "Account Profile" page and edit your time zone so that the time on the site matches your local time. Then all the event times will show up correct. Those of us in daylight savings time regions have to remember to do that every time DST changes. Looks to me like a minority actually use TeamSpeak. I like it, it's more personal than a text chat line. I use an inexpensive Logitech headset, works just fine. |

I found I had to set my time zone to Arizona instead of PST to account for the daylight savings difference...I guess I'll need to switch back when the time changes again...hope I remember to do so :) Questions: It says (for me) that qualifying starts at 7:30. How soon is "too soon" to show up on the server? If I decide to use teamspeak (having trouble getting it to recognize a wheel button for push to talk...even with recorded keystrokes) is there a channel set aside for the race tonight? Dennis |

You can show up on the server any time you want. It is available all day. I will make sure to create a BMW TS room for us |
