was about to sign up for the next run and realized i have no way to communicate on team speak, you all have any sugestions for decent headset\mic combo? i used to use a studio set with mic ziptied to it but would like to have something purpose built, that wont fall apart in a week and sounds really good. i have looked around a bit and the Sennheiser's look nice but i thought i would ask around a bit before i jumped off and bought em'
Thanks

As someone who wears glasses be aware that if you do wear glasses an around-ear type headphone will be much more comfortable than an on-ear type headphone. I learned that the hard way.

i am fotunate that my crusty old eyes dont require glasses yet, but the set i am looking at is full over the ear and are only like 38 bills so unless someone else recommends something better i will go with the sennies. should hopefully have them in time to catch you all at mid-ohio
Thanks guys

Randy,

TS is certainly a great tool, but not required for GDC participation.

Randy,

Be sure to review the R2P and GDC rules and background info. That is important stuff.

If you have TS up and running, I strongly recommend you log on to that before trying to log in to the game. All to often I see folks struggling (RFM mis-match...etc) and there is nothing we can do to help because we can not talk to them.

The GDC is about hanging out and having fun. There is no need to practice ahead of time if you do not want to and if you spin and/or wreck....so what.

Lastly, I would take some time to familiarize yourself with rF in general and make sure your controls and such are assigned and convenient to use/remember. I suggest this because the hope is that the GDC members will take their attitudes and skills to other series at R2P.

GDC and R2P rules/bkg are what got me here so that is done, unfortunatly i will not have TS fully functional by monday so if it doesnt work for whatever reason we can get RF fixed at mid-ohio, will have headset by then. I have spent alot of time driving solo and aginst AI so all the controller issues are worked out except of course my being able to properly manipulate them... just recently started learning the heal toe thing.
i am guessing we just use the RF in game online join (connect menu)to get to the proper race/server ?
