Welcome to AAR’s Indy Racing Series. This chapter was started by Scott Thrasher and William Mize to feel the void in Indy car racing here at Race2Play. We will be running tracks that the current IRL runs and a special track at the end. The race length will be roughly 50% of what IRL runs with a few laps added or deleted to make things nice and neat. The damage will be set to 100%. Cautions will be enabled. Fuel and tire wear will be set to 2X. Please bear with us as this is our first series to do and we are still learning things. Feedback is much appreciated. The following are some rules to observe (note: some rules may change and rules may be added at anytime): 1. All current rules at Race2Play will be observed. 2. Teamspeak is strongly recommended but not required. 3. Cautions will be enabled. Racing back to the line when the caution comes out is not allowed. When the caution comes out hold your position. 4. 2 spin rule is strongly recommended but not required. Basically we asked that if you self spin twice you park your car. 5. Races will start at advertised time. No exception unless it is something that is major that affects everyone (like server failure). 6. Punting a driver on a start or restart will result in a drive through. We are all adults here so please do so on your own. Any punt that is not followed by a drive through will result in a 1 lap penalty from your finishing position. 7. Qual will be set to 10 minutes. For oval races, 4 timed laps only. For road courses, 2 timed laps only. All laps must be run at the same time. The laps are done manually so please only do the correct number of laps or you will be given a penalty. Races are open to all members of Race2Play so come join us for some Indy Racing. |
