after patching the server and my game, the server no reports ARCA.rfm mismatch and boots me from the server. This is at Milwaukee. Both machines are running XP home. Connect via IP. new .plr files for both. Edit: Connected to outside public server at Daytona without issue at least in practice. Another Edit: Where is Rockingham? There were no tracks added in the patch? I'm disappointed. I thought part of the reason for this patch was to add at least The Rock. Wasted my time installing this. Apparently they just don't get it. I'm to angry to relay any more thoughts here. |
In the patch notes it says that the Rock will be out the week of May 12th. Basically I took it as it was almost finished but not finished enough to put in the patch. As for the other stuff well I haven't had a chance to mess with it. |
I was told by Bill personally "
My mistake, it has only been 13 days and he wasn't as specific as I had remembered. Even though they promised the tracks would be out before ARCA runs them. [Time for a big vent of steam here] If I get any closer to popping a cork, I'm done. They chose to morph Daytona into God knows what instead of providing tracks they didn't have. Then they try to explain they don't have time to build the tracks because they're busy creating more bugs, oops I think was patching bugs. (you decide) This is very bad. Complaints about the bugs they tried to fix were plentiful enough, but, now the flood gates are open. And they have no offsetting positives to go with the negatives aside from a reworked Daytona that has people complaining as well. And as long as I'm venting I have a friend they won't respond to that paid for this game on Date: Sat Mar 15 18:00:52 -0400 2008 and still hasn't received it. He's emailed the guys at every address he can find trying to get help and they won't even respond to him.
Ok, so I'm reverting my stuff back to pre-patch and thats where it's going to stay until I see a good reason to change it. So far I see several good reasons not to. Check the posts at RSC. |
Dont think ill be able to race tues night if thats the case. :( I already patched and all is good on my end so far. I patched our server this morning as well and it seems to work ok. R u sure nothing got overlooked? Hopefully it will work out tho, think ive maybe got a top 5 car for tomorrow night!?!?!? |
I was waiting to see if the patch worked on the server. I have not patched and I won't until the server problem gets worked out. I did 200 laps of testing tonight and think I have a stable car that hopefully will go the distance. I will be happy to finish on the lead lap. This track eats tires. |
Well i wont be able to race then...I Patched also.
|
It has been a joke for awhile now. I bet there will be a couple of copies of ASR for sale on Ebay very soon. :) Anyway the R2P servers are patched up so I will need the patch to race tonight correct? Is it still on? |
On both the server and my gamer, I uninstalled and wiped the files clean. Reinstalled, patched, created new profiles, and now it all works. (I backed it all up first of course) I believe the r2p server is patched. That is why I went back and patched also. You cannot connect and stay in the server if your game is not patched. So, I would say, even without official word from Tim, it's time to patch. If the r2p server is having issues, we can always use mine. |
I patched and it seems to be working. I noticed that the wheel settings for the various wheels with exception of my momo wheel and a general wheel settings, were gone. It's not a big deal now, but if I upgrade to a new wheel what is going to happen? |
If you upgrade to a new wheel then find someone that removed those wheel profiles from the folder and put them in a backup folder. I would assume that the patch didn't mess with the backup folder at all so all those files should stay. I moved all mine to a backup folder. I would have to double check when I get home to make sure they are still there but if you need them then let me know. |
