Shark at Race2Play operates under the rules of R2P itself, which by now everyone should now and understand, however long they have been racing here. Up to this point we have given gentle reminders to people to point them to the rules to make this a safe and enjoyable environment for us all, to try and keep our admin duties off track to an acceptable level. However certain rules, such as Lap 1 Punt Rule, and Rejoining the track safely, are consistently abused. No longer. Anyone found guilty of not observing rules will be subject to penalties in their next events in which ever series the offence was committed. If you play fair then great, if not we will penalise from now on as we see fit to do so. |

Given the recent appearance of the Shark TRM GT3 Cup I thought I would add a little to this so hopefully it is clear for everyone. The what and why of the Race2Play rule book is available
All Shark events, unless expressly indicated by an admin, operate under this rule set. For some joining us they may be new, but the reasons why they are there are clearly laid out. Drivers involved in an incident are encouraged where they feel the need to do so to PM an Admin to review and judge accordingly. In the past all TRM events have been strictly cockpit view only. For this first series run at R2P that rule will be relaxed, but we reserve the right to introduce it in future series. If anyone has any queries please ask and we will do our best to answer and define, but as I say and is stated elsewhere, lack of knowledge of the rules is not an excuse. Thanks |

As per the amended Race2Play rule book, and as per this Blog we will be observing the same set of rules as per official R2P events for Season 10. The obvious difference will be we will not have live stewards, but can and will review the race after the event.
Not knowing the rules will not be an excuse, and we will penalise as we see fit if indiscretions occur. These penalties will be carried forward to subsequent events (i.e. the next time a driver races in the series) if necessary. Crashes can, will and do happen but hopefully though we can have a great time next season. |

Following discussions to confirm the punt rule, it is clear under the official Race2Play rules that there is no defined period for a driver to serve the drive thru penalty for punting another driver. IN THIS CHAPTER ONLY - it will be deemed necessary to serve the penalty drive thru within 3 laps of the offence occurring. Failure to observe the punt rule itself, or to perform a drive thru within the expected time frame, will lead to further penalties in the next event the driver competes in. We are NOT trying to make the rules more difficult, just more defined so everyone IN THIS CHAPTER understands our expectations, and to ensure we all have an enjoyable and entertaining race, especially with the number of drivers on the grid. This is in place as we have no live admins, and therefore expect every driver, as per the first post above, to play fair. Thanks |

Although we will review the first few laps of a race, if we are not PM'd about incidents we may have potentially missed, we cannot judge and penalise if necessary. PLEASE PM us if you feel an incident should be looked at you were involved in so we can ensure everyone is playing by the book. Thankyou |
