F1 Practice
Gran Premio d'Italia - practice

Posted by Tomasz Krol at 12:11 PM on May 17, 2008 Post #1

Tonight we're doing practice on this great track.

Start: 23:30 CET (central european time) - which is, if I'm not wrong, 16:30 US central time. If you still have doubts it begins exactly 2 hours after today champcar race start-time.

Rules are as in our previous practice. Read 'Grand Prix of China' topic in this group for details.

Server: team enclave racing
password: ogry

You can find the server on server's list (please note - it's name starts with small letter, rFactor sorts the list by capital/small letters as well, so you must scroll all the way down to see the servers which names don't begin with capital letter).
Easier way is just to click: 'add server by IP' (or whatever it's called) button and type:

enclave.digi.pl

See you there.

I'd like to make it but I imagine I'm going to have GF hanging around expecting my attention since I warn her that SUNDAY is race day. ;)

Why do you have medium TC on? Should really be low since that's what we race on.

If I can attend, I will.

Medium TC is on because this practice is open for everybody. So even a complete beginner is allowed to join us. If someone is racing in r2p's regular series they should of course set the aides at the same settings they will be using during the race.

I came a bit late but there's no one here. I guess it never happened?

Not sure what happened either. I came but no-one was there. It seems there isn't much of a need (at least right now) for the practices. We'll have to give more notice and reschedule again I suppose..

Me and David showed on time...we waited 15 minutes and since no one else joined we gave up and disconnected.
Andrew, are you sure you didn't make mistake with time? I was on the server 30 minutes before the scheduled start time and almost the same amount of time past it and the only person I saw on the server was David.

The only way I can think of to give more notice to these events would be to make an independent chapter out of them, but in my opinion this is pointless, as we would end up copying existing F1 series and that's not what I want.
