The ORR Arena track scheduled for the next round of Off-Road has been changed to Desert Mesa track. Please see Pre-Race for link.

What a pity, I really liked ORR Arena :(

Which Desert Mesa layout will we use?

The large one.

I just noticed there is a v1.01 and v1.02 of this track. v1.02 crashes rFactor, so we are using v1.01. Download it from our Files area to ensure no mismatching.

That's not a good move from administrators, change venue 1 day before race, with no prior notice that a change was in the works. A friend and I will not be participating due to this. We tested and practiced for the scheduled event, and were getting comfortable, now the track is changed because people say they can't get around the track without wrecking, maybe they should try some practice, I don't drive this MOD anywhere and I'm having no trouble staying clean in traffic.

It is not the ideal choice Wes, but it was a necessary one.

The change was made 1 week before the event. The ORR Arena is complete shit. The change was for the better. I could make it around and was putting up decent times and found a good line but consider this:

-Start/finish is on a steep hill
-pit exit is UNDER the lee side of a hill that will be jumped over
-outside the track the meshes are all wrong
-The reset points place you on top of a fence and bounce you back into the bad meshes causing you to reset.... repeat as necessary
-if your truck flips and you get reset on-track, you will most likely be facing the wrong way

The decision to change the venue was the correct one.
