Ok, I know the how to correct a oversteer slide thats easy.

I some times find my self in a tank slapper. and those seem to be the worth slide of all.. its like you over corrected and you get the whole pendulum effect going on. rear end whipping left then back right then 180. crap really sucks.

im just wondering what do i need to work on to keep this from happening, and what is causing it to happen?

Thanks in advance!

I've seen one in a v8supercar race, don't know what track, but it ended up in a 360 and he just grabbed another gear and moved on.Just don't believe any knockers that it just happens in rfactor or gtr2.

Just remembered...

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I did a tank slapper in my '85 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe on the freeway one rainy night.

I was zipping along when all of a sudden theres this big puddle up ahead which proceeds to cause my rear (very bald Goodyear Eagle Gaterbacks) to aquaplane and start a very slow spin. I was very proud upon applying the perfect amount of counter-steer, bringing the rear back around to where it should be! : )

But wait, it just kept going in the other direction until I ended up doing a complete 360 right in the middle of the freeway (it was like 3am so no traffic at all thank goodness)

I ended up going from the innermost lane, then finally resting right up against the fence at the outer edge of the road. Lucky I missed a pole a few feet further back!

All my Turbo Coupe ended up with was the rear quarter panel pushed in a little which I was able to pop back out from inside the trunk (boot)

The lesson I learned from that experience was, don't drive fast in the rain with bald rear tires (my fronts were new).

Gee, was that the right lesson to learn? hehe
