Well I did it. After montths of throwing my MOMO pedals across the apartment cause they never seemed to work right, I got a G25. How sweet it is. Love that new leather smell. Only been able to race about 30min so far but its is awesome. Paid 228.99 from tigerdirect. Pretty fast shipping, 5 days from store to door. UPS ground. Now to get it tuned right, and I can't do that sitting here typing. Thanks to all for this G25 club. Things folks said here helped me make my decision about which wheel to get.Looks like tons more info for me to plow thru , too.

Welcome to the club, Kevin. A fine purchase indeed. The only qualm I still have is the lack of buttons on the wheel itself. I actually have been using a logitech dual-analog gamepad strapped to the front of my wheel (it sits in there relatively well so that it doesn't interfere at all with my driving).

The stick shift is not very great in gated mode either, but that doesn't matter to me since I mostly only do OW racing now with the paddles.

I love mine too! Buttons on the shifter isn't all that bad. I use the 2 on the wheel to look left & right. My only fear with buttons on the shifter is that I will loose concentration and wind up hitting a car at pit exit while they are waiting at the red light!

Yeah Charlie. That's why I mounted the controller to the wheel. In Formula 1, trying to use the shifter mount to get at controls while driving is just way too risky.

For sports car racing, it's more practical since you're using the stick anyways and you get a feel for the orientation of the buttons without looking.
