I think I am in deep doo-doo. Suddenly last weekend my downshifting would double-downshift fiercely at almost every corner (noticed in Mid Ohio champcars), where it was almost impossible to drive. NEVER had this problem before. I remember reading some posts months ago about a line in the rfactor plr file that avoids doing this accidentally and I went and changed it to "1". Great, except now sure enough I cannot downshift too quickly when *I* want to, but it still does it for me when I don't want it to. And it does it quite a lot. Makes driving disgusting and laptimes impossible. Anyone else encountered this before, and [voice-trembling, bottom lip quivering] does it seem like a hardware problem? [disclaimer: F.Zargani is incapable of handling anything more sophisticated than a hammer and a large nail. He is a hardware and technical Neanderthal, minus the hairy back]. Very worried, since it started doing it suddenly. |

Try swapping your shifting controls around & see if it double upshifts. If so, probably a hardware problem. |

"1" being 100ms should be small enough not to get in the
And it should be enough to filter a bouncy microswitch. Doesn't sound like the line in PLR is doing anything, as your problem is exactly what it's there for. Still under warranty? It's only a $1 part, but I don't recommend opening your wheel up with a hammer and nailing in the new one. |

Sounds like you need to buy an SST shifter...LOL Hope you find the problem Francesco. You try uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling for the wheel? That sounds like the easiest wya to go.... |

its the microswitch thats faulty, get in touch with supplier if its under warranty, short term if you use logi profiler you can play with timings of the switches ,or switch gears to the button on wheel,or god forbid use the lame excuse for a gearshift,u can also switch gears to clutch pedal if u dont use it,good luck |

Sounds like you need to purchase my ECCI setup. It WILL make you on average 1.275 seconds faster per lap. |

definitely looks mechanical, and out of warranty. i might take it apart myself and look in there and, don't know, put a piece of chewing gum or something.

Lol, so the ECCI is the equivalent of a Gibson making you Jimmy Page? I somehow doubt it's that straight-forward ;p |
