Hi all, Being a new member on here and new to rfactor some cars I can control without aides and some well im crap on. The question I have is for events: take for example Feed Me Digital Touring Car Challenge (S8) on Sun 217th June nothing is listed Now I look at Formula 2 [Novice] (S8) also on Sunday and aides are listed as Auto-Clutch & Low traction control From this am I to assume that Digital Touring Car Challenge (S8) = no aides are allowed
I just need to know this as there is no point in me entering an event where I can’t control the car (yet) without any aides and be a nuisance to other drivers. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks |

Grant, we do allow auto-clutch and auto-gears (for those with controller issues) on all servers. Any other aides that are allowed will be noted on the series information pages (Click the racing series name). Most "Novice" series allow some aides and a few of the Ind Chapters do. |

o.k Tim thanks for that. Im sure you can appreciate when you are new to a game learning without the normal ABs, Traction etc is bad enough buy to throw in no auto gears would really deter from particpating (well for a long time to see if i can get the hang of it) Thanks |

Grant...be sure to take advantage of the High Performance Driver Tutoring (HPDT) program here at R2P. Tim or another good driver coaches you on setup and driving the rFactor open wheel trainer. I doubt I'd be able to hang with the pack in the F1 races here if I had not gone through the course. I also need ABS and TC to feel like I've got a stable car underneath me. But, now I'm on my 3rd season of F1 (which dropped TC this season) and I think I might be able to do well even without ABS. Keep working on setups and driving. |
