Following on from a highly successful Season 8 for the Shark Chapter, the events for Season 9 are all set up and ready to go. It did not go unnoticed by us that we consistently achieved some of the highest regular mid week turn outs on a Tuesday night, even at the end of each series when historically numbers can drop, and thanks goes to everyone who supported our series. The decision to make a bigger night of it was done to try to incorporate more of an "event" feel to the racing on a Tuesday night, and was set up in the hope we were not pushing our luck too far in terms of driver support and thinning fields. It would appear with one week to go to the start of the season, with 24 E21 drivers and 14 Megane drivers already signed up for the first night, we need not have worried. This is a fantastic response and hopefully will continue throughout the upcoming series, even though we enter the prime holiday period. Another venture into the semi unknown was the instigation of the Shark TRM GT3 Cup on a Saturday night. Organised to give a taste of what Race2Play event organisation was all about for Steve Jones, the admin of Jolt TRM Racing, this has again proved to be an eagerly anticipated series with 22 drivers signed up to date. Good luck to everyone who partakes in the Shark Chapter events this season. When we originally planned to do a bit of Formula BMW racing at the start of the year, we never envisaged what we have got to now, and with 7 pages worth of you as Chapter members, we must have got something right! THANKYOU one and all, and let the fun begin on Saturday. Nick Phillips |

Following a great start to the series so far, it is the turn of the open wheelers to roll onto the grid at Brands Hatch on Tuesday. Plenty of F BMW and F3 drivers already looking forward to the night and hope these will go down as well as the tin tops to date. See you all there on Tuesday. |

Don't know if it's just me or not but there is a continuous wheel gun noise when on the FBMW Brands Hatch server, pretty annoying. |

It's not just you Steve - you should be able to go into the gamedata/sounds/ambient directory and move out the wheelgun sound files. Never tried it myself but if rfactor complains that they're missing, just replace them with empty wav files. |
