As noted in the Barecelona pre-race, just waiting for the server to be updated, then the small update (108kb) will be available for download. Aaron, sent you a PM regarding the uninstall/install procedure. |

I've done some LMP research and found some interesting things. LMP1 and LMP2s can and have run the same lap times and in some cases LMP2s have contended for an over all win in some cases. The LMP1s are heavier but more powerful, and the LMP2s are less powered but light. So the end results are more or less 2 equal cars. The only real difference are LMP2s are cheaper more for privateers, and LMP1 are factory backed and more expensive. Its not the same as GT1 and GT2 in FIA GT racing, were the GT2 are closer to there real world car, and the GT1 are highly advanced technological sport racing cars. Not trying to cause a storm just did some research online to see if the real world LMPs are similar in real life or if the mod itself was done wrong. I know Charles you got enough on your plate with racing and trying to run this series and with just a week away you probly dont want to read this. Regardless I appreicate everything your trying to accomplish. But I wouldnt rule out the P2s just yet. I dont want to post everything I saw (about 30 pages worth) but google up LMP1 Vs LMP2 and you'll be surprized at what I've found. And there is alot of talk in the ACO about doing something to keep the 2 classes from competing with each other, because the ACO belives the LMP1s should be overall winner, and porsche gets the finger pointed at because of there very fast LMP2 car. Of course its probly too late to change it now, and yes Charles I'd want to strangle me too, lol. We probly should have ran a fun race just to see how things look in action, no offense. |

No offense taken, Aaron. I understand everyone else's disappointment and at one point was just going to cancel the series. I also did my homework on these LMPs. It's not just laptimes that concerned me, but fuel mileage and fuel tank size. Yes, the older P2s were able to compete for overall win, but our P2s would have won just on fuel mileage alone. They just didn't represent the correct numbers. We will have fun with the LMP1s. Live and learn, right? :) |

Dont cancel it at all, this mod is still work in progress I belive so, I'm sure they'll fix any issues. Regardless its nice to see a new mod for GTR2. |
