Morning All,

Looks like I'm in the market for a new monitor. I currently have a dell 1907FP 19" that I really like, but I'd like something bigger/newer. I can't really decide whether I'd like to buy a new 22" monitor, or if I should just go out and buy 2 more Dell 19" displays.
I would go the 19" route, except that I can't yet use TH2GO because I own a laptop.

So can anyone recommend some decently priced 22" displays? Don't really mind if its widescreen or not.

Second question,

My laptop (Asus F3JP) currently has a 120GB 5400RPM drive. I'd like to replace it with a quicker 250GB 7200RPM drive.
1. Can I do this?
2. Would I notice a difference in disk speeds?
3. After installation, could I just ghost my current partitions back onto the new drive?

Thanks for any help!

Bryce

Jump up into the 24-26 range LCD monitors...You won't regret it. I have a 24 in that I bought at Best Buy for $500. 10000 to 1 contrast ratio and 1900x1200 resolution. It was well worth the price and the immersion factor is increased 10fold!!!!
Look for higher contrast ratio's and a higher resolution.
Check all the computer stores online and see if you can get an online special with store pickup.
Good luck

The one problem I have with getting a monitor of that size is the resolution. I currently run 1280x1024 in GTR2 and Rfactor and it runs fine... but I have a feeling that running 1900x1200 won't. The Frame rate is on the edge of performance/quality right now as it is.

I also suspect that the monitor wouldn't look too good when not at native resolution.

When I build another computer in a future, im going to re-do my entire cockpit and may upgrade to a huge screen monitor at the same time. For now, I'd just like to get a decent upgrade.
