ARCA Sim Racing 08 Patch Update 1128C Instructions:
With patch 1128C we are implementing a slightly different patching structure. The new structure was designed to eliminate the issues seen in previous patches. The most significant change is the introduction of a new Auto Updater Client.
Once you are patched to 1128C you will not have to mess with any of this again. However in order to update to 1128C please read the following directions carefully:

Step 1:
Download the new Auto Updater client and extract both the ARCA_Updater.exe and ARCA_Updater.dat files to the ARCA Remax folder where your game is installed to.
You may delete the old updater files.
Telling the difference between the old and new files:
Old Auto Updater:
Name: ARCA UPDATE.exe and ARCA UPDATE.dat
EXE Icon: Globe Icon
New Updater:
Name: ARCA Updater.exe and ARCA Updater.dat
EXE Icon: Sim Factory Icon (Same Icon as ARCA.exe)

***NOTE*** If you were one of the people who got the updater to work already before this announcement, even if it looks like you have the new updater files, you need to remove them they will not work.

Step 2:
Run the new updater client. Client will download 1128C and patch your game.
A direct link to the patch should be available shorty after the patch is made public for anyone that cannot use the Auto Updater client for whatever reason.
This patch will update the following versions of ASR08 to 1128C:
1.0 (Fresh DVD Install)
1128
1128 -With Manual Daytona AIW Fix
1128a
1128a -With Manual Daytona AIW Fix
1128b
1128b -With Manual Daytona AIW Fix
1128C (pre-release) -With Manual Daytona AIW Fix
1128C (pre-release) -With No Daytona

Every version mentioned above was tested and worked 100%

If you have any other issues, for instance issues loading tracks other than Daytona or otherwise, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO RE-INSTALL FROM THE DVD.

If you have ANY issues with the Auto Updater client or the patch and are seeking support please zip all log files with a 1128C marking and submit them with your support request. I am unable to debug a partial log file.
I have done as much as I can to keep users from needing to re-install their game in order to patch to 1128C right now. If there are any cases in which a reinstall is required, be sure to get the log files from your original attempt to me and let me know if nothing worked other than re-installing. I can assure you all that the more log files I receive specific to fatal errors where a patch could not run, the less that reinstalls will occur in the future.

The Updater has been working just fine. The issues that have been seen with the updater are due to the fact that it is only pulling the patch file from 1 server right now. That server has been getting overloaded and is failing at the end of the download. To combat this issue we have direct download links available for the patch itself from multiple mirrors below:

The NashvilleARCA150 event was released on the DVD and removed in a patch afterwards, it was accidently re-released in this patch, well, part of it. It doesn't work and it'll be removed in a following patch.

If you get an error message from the patch or Updater suggesting to reinstall the game, please double check here or contact me personally for a solution this is a "canned" message and reinstalling really shouldn't be necessary.

IF YOU MANUALLY INSTALLED YOUR GAME BY COPYING FILES (Server provider or otherwise) READ ON!

If you copied the files from the DVD and installed without running the installer on the disc you need a new fix.

The AUpdater will not download the patch for you unless you installed the game from the disc with the install utility.

To fix this get this file: All it is a registry export with a version. You can freely view the contents before merging with the registry.

Extract anywhere and double-click on it to merge into the Registry. Accept the dialog that may appear and re-run the AUpdater.

Once this is completed you can run the AUpdater and it should work.

Instructions:

***1128d will only patch 1128C. If you are at a lower version than 1128C you MUST use 1128C first. The updater is configured to download any patch files you need to get to 1128d.

If you already have the Auto Updater just run it. It will find the new patch and download automatically.
