anyone know how to reformat the computer ?? i put the toshiba disc in and nothing...i reboot the the computer with disc in and nothing i right click and exlore the disc and there a bunch of nonsense...no exe file... i had enough of microsoft..i am about to use my laptop as a projectile and get a mac. |

Usually those are bootable discs to do a system restore to factory condition. It may be that the computer is delivered with booting from CD disabled. If that's the case, you will need to figure out how to enable booting from the CD drive. This means that you'll need to get into the BIOS configuration. This is usually accomplished by pressing F2 or F12 or otherwise during the initial startup procedure. You can probably find the correct method by googling toshiba satellite p100 bios setup or something. |

put a windows disk in and boot from CD..
Make sure you have backed all your stuff up (including all your HW drivers!!!) somewhere though if you are on 1 hard drive |

Boot the system up and hold down the ‘F2’ key. You are then in the BIOS Setup. Then goto your boot processes and change your cd drive to first priority, save changes and exit. When the computer restarts it will ask you to press any key to boot from cd. |
