Yep! Had the big one today!! Qualifying, heading into T1 Paddock Hill Bend and I touch the dirt on the outside. Sideways into a tyre wall, decimating the car and rolling across the track - ending up in the outer tyre wall at the bottom of the hill

Had a really interesting tussle with McQueen in the early stages over last place. I was quicker through Surtees and would catch him heading into Hawthorn Bend (here), but couldn't make anything stick!

Fastest race lap for me, 2 laps from the end. Graham Hill Bend. Undulating Brands Hatch was quite a challenge in these cars for me.

Lap 33, 7 to go and already over 1 hour into the race. "Hakkinen's corner" I hit so hard it rips front wheel off spinning me around and backwards down the track, hitting the other wall and pointing in the right direction! First DNF for long time.

I'm on it, clipping the kerb just nicely!!! Yeah, baby - my fastest lap of the race.......was only 5 seconds slower than the top guys (jumps off nearest cliff)!

...and by the 100 metre board I'm into his rear. We both spin out (me trying to save a double tank slapper, then tag Nick). Pit and look forward to 27 more laps whilst miles behind!

Into the last turn of lap 1 and my race is about to end. The car ahead has braked at around 160 metres, when I normally brake at 100 metres. I brake too but the bumps are here and I can't stop in time as the car bounces and loses grip...

Turn 1 Lap 1, somehow we got through relatively cleanly, although I managed to knock Nick's mirror off in our paint rubbing!!

Pitting on lap 17. Major damage I had following a lap 3 incident with a bad rejoin by another car onto the track, although I knew I had understeer and front tyres died on me quickly!
