Qualy was really tight as the server was only set to 6 mins (wrong series chaps :p)

I couldn't find a gap in the traffic until the last lap and I just managed to grab pole right at the death.

Mario got off to a better start than me and led into T1. I decided to just try and stick right behind him and hassle him into a mistake, but he never made one :)

It was a really good close fight until on lap 8 we came together exiting the hairpin. There was a 6 inch gap between us but it registered as a hit. I should know better than to be that close in netKar so I have to take full responsibility.

I couldn't believe that A: that so called tap had spun him like it did, and B: He seemed to suffer big damage from it.

I'm really sorry that it happened Mario. Feel free to protest the incident. I'm happy to take any punishment for that even though we never actually made contact. I should have known better than to get that close in this sim.

After that I wasn't concentrating properly and span again on the next lap. the gap to the top two was now 20+ seconds and I just tried to get it home without another mistake.

I ended up bringing it home in 3rd, but wasn't happy about taking points off of Mario, especially as the championship is so close.

I have a replay of the incident from my point of view for the stewards if needed.

Only got one decent lap in during qualifying which earnt me 3rd.

Got a reasonable start but Alan tapped me going into T2 which pushed me off line slightly allowing him through. He then clattered Adrian a few laps later at the hairpin which put me up to 2nd. Claudiu was about 3 secs in front, over a few laps i got the gap down to within a sec but Claudiu was faster in the right places to stay in the lead. Had a drama exiting last chicane about mid race hitting the wall on the exit of the last chicane which in all previous meetings with this wall has resulted in an instant dnf, but fortunately it only resulted in a half spin and a few lost secs.

Made the gap up and the last 10 mins was a good battle to the flag. Claudiu made no mistakes that gave me no chance to pass which earned him a well deserved win. I had a moment on the last lap trying to push too hard. Well done Claudiu :)

Pleased to win the championship and help take the team championship. Probably lucky Steve Davis didnt make all the races but....

Grats again to Claudiu and to Adrian in 3rd.

Qualy...went as well as expected, I wasn't sure what to adjust as I pushed it into qualy to be greeted by the twilight session. I listened to the feedback from tier 2 and softened up an already soft suspension and dialed in more wing hoping it wasn't too much, my first lap all I made sure of was to get it in the top 4 in a low boost mode, then I increased it every lap and was awarded the pole by the slimmest of margins.

Race...I still have not figured out on why my race pace is so far off my practice pace, going into the race I felt if I could hold low 05's I might have a shot and giving a fight to Jon and Eduardo as I was lapping in the low 04's during practice.

In the early stages I knew I was holding Jon up and became more cautious in my throttle position as I wont earn points for hot-lapping it as I would for bringing it home on the podium. Jon got a run on me in the early going, I wasn't in the giving mood, as he would have to earn the spot, going into nine he got a run inside, I allowed him room but needed to pinch him off as this wasn't a gimme and I wasnt in the mood to talk to the tires, we touched briefly but it amounted to nothing. A few laps later same deal with Eduardo, this time I tried the over and under approach and it nearly worked, that was a lot of fun.

After Jon and Eduardo pulled a small gap I had a lazy spin that cost me 10-seconds but thankfully I didn't touch anything. The I accepted a passing opportunity later on in the race in T10 which placed my right front onto the sticky part of the track and looped it again, but again I didn't touch anything. From there it was bring it home safely and take the points.

Perfect race ... my first podium in R2P:) I love the mod ... challenging race from start to finish ... congratulations to all who completed ... Joao Petry and Mike dos Santos were flying but have not had a good pace without making too many errors ... we pras Next ...

I was quite a bit off the pace of the Spyders and whatever Tristan was driving, so I knew I needed a good strategy and that was what I worked on all week. I intended to 1-stop and just hoped that most of the Spyders would be forced to 2-stop.
In the early stages I hung around behind Heinz, Mike and Joao, just looked after my tyres and fuel and took care passing the other classes. Made it to 38 laps and saw that all of those in front were on 2-stops, so Heinz and I started to get a bit hopeful. I had passed Heinz in the pits because he had to conserve fuel alot more than I did approaching the stop and then he was just slower getting away.
After the Spyders did their 2nd stops I was 3rd with Boyd about 25 seconds up the road and impossible to catch. I was going to be very happy if I could get to the finish with a podium but then Boyd had an incident and had to pit again, I couldn't believe my luck as I drove into 2nd place.
I had an incident free race and everyone out there seemed to be very sensible and very aware, grats to all who took part.

Well, what can I say? I called it ... it was epic!.

First, grats to all the podiums! Tristan's car should be tested methinks :) That was a master class.
As for Darren, my nemesis bit me again. Well done Darren, a well deserved second! I made a big mistake and I knew I couldn't hold you off for 10 minutes with no nose cone, so pitted to try and retain third. Well done Daz!

Also well done Conor and Kieron. Spectacular drives!

The race went very well, all in all. I saw Kent and Matt fighting over P2 (in the P2's) early on, and knew it was going to end in tears. So I wasn't too surprised to inherit second. Where I stayed until the first stops, when Darren and Heinz got by on there one stop strategies. I regained the spot when they eventually pitted, adn I pulled enough of a gap to know another stop would still leave me in second.

And so it was .. until, 10 minutes to go, in my excitement and enthusiasm (second to Tris is a win in my books!), I lost the arse of the car into the wall and popped the nose off.

Drat!! (or words to that effect. Good thing I had configured push to talk on TS otherwise everyone on TS would have needed therapy :)

Pitted, got back out behid Daz, and drove to the podium. Which was my original aim, to get a podium finish. So I'm quite happy, to say the least.

What made this race absoltely brilliant where the drivers being lapped. Even with the occasional dive into a corner, all the drivers where just fantastic. Most kept a good line (one or two exceptions), and where it had gone wrong they kept their cool and didn't allow a faster car to spoil it for them. I think this form of racing (multi-class) has progressed immensely in a short space of time. WELL DONE ALL!! I was really impressed with driver conduct, and where there were some dodgy moves, those drivers will have learnt a lot in this race.

Also my first time on TS in a race, and what a doozy to try it out with. But it added another element to the racing, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Thanx and grats to the Alliance guys, even though I was still racing under Phoenix colours, all were welcome. Thanx folks, nice chatting to you all.

Bit disappointed with the way this ended up after a promising start.

Couldn't not get a setup to work for more than a lap before spinning off so decided to run my Fuji setup which actually worked quite well. Knew with my setup that I needed to be out in front and have a bit of gap but after getting past Conor, couldn't open a gap at all. Traded places a few times in the first stint but gap opened up once we hit traffic but managed to pull it back just before my first pit stop.

Notice that Conor was doing two long stints which obviously meant he was going to be super quick on the last 20 minute one so had to get on with it for most of the time. Managed to get the lead back in the second stint and have a gap of about a second when I pitted for the last time.

Only thing that happened in stint 3 was I spun and took off the front splitter, meaning I had no chance of catching Conor up again (would have been difficult anyways with Conor only needing a shorter stop but more so)Was fun with no downforce down the straights as I could pass few P2 cars literally just after they had passed me but could not turn in to any fast corners which meant I could just about hold time over 3rd place but was losing lot to Conor.

A bit disappointed to get lapped at the end by Tristan which meant I finished a lap down to Conor as it was closer than that but congrats to winners and podiums.

first off sorry to everybody who was behind me on lap 1 when I spun in the tower turn. I got on the brakes then quickly realized I was going to hit either Phillip or the Aston he was alongside so I jammed harder on the brakes and spun then stalled the car right in the middle of the track. I only lost about 8 seconds by time I got refired and rolling but I did manage to cause some havoc in the time I was sitting there. sorry bout that everyone :(

I hadn't done any setup work until I turned up about an hour before the race and never was happy with the car. I did have a setup from a teammate of mine to start with which definetly helped. I'm ecstatic to come away with 2nd though considering! Managed to somewhat hang with James once he caught me for awhile and maintained the gap to Phillip all race long until his dramas. prototypes wern't exactly courteous in passing but the worst were the GT1 cars. Dive bomb into a corner then just stop mid corner/corner exit then just pull away down the straight then spin in the next corner. James and I ran into each other at 1 point and went off from an Aston doing just that. I love multiclass racing and understand the give n take nature of it but this one was just a pain.

Very tough event. Didn't get the opportunity to run for the 2.4 last week due to illness, so this more than made up for it.

First off, many thanks to Steve Taylor, who's set-up was a godsend to myself and Mister Linton.

Great quali - went faster than I had before. The race start was very tetchy, as we were mixed in with the slower GT1's. I took class lead as James had issues on the formation lap.

Matt got real close as we tried to get around some GT1's, before he disappeared as I went around the outside of an Aston. From there, just tried to keep the margin and be on the ball.

It was.. iffy at best, to be honest. Lots of silly minor errors here and there. All this dealing with those super quick P2's. Felt rubbed the wrong way by one or two of them, who weren't exactly friendly. But I suppose, that's racing.

Just plugged on - James caught me and ran nose to tail up to the stops. I came out in front because he had a slower pits. He caught up again. Into turn one with about ten to go, the back snapped loose. Real weird on that to be honest. It felt okay most of the race and the tires shouldn't of really done that.

Creamed the rear end and it only took a few corners to realise I would have to stop. Kicked myself really. A long pit-stop but I still came out third, in the boondocks between second and fourth. From there, just brought her home.

Disappointed by the heavy error. Could I have won it? Never know now. No point putting too much thought on it. Third is still a fantastic result in a special event.

Wow My First Top 3 (with 6 opponents....)!

i was 2nd behind joco in start, we had good first stint, joco, backo and me. i did pit with 3 sec. in front of backo and 5 in front of joco and i come out 3.5 in front of joco, but a NGT which did no pitstop was in front of me for 2 laps and so joco come close to me, backo was already much behind us.
i did try to make a gap to joco, because rsr is faster in pitstop, but i only had nearly 3 sec. before i come in my (and same lap joco too) pitstop, backo was already 22-23 behind, but then i did it again......
i hit wall in pitboxincome, spin, take endless time to find correct way to pit then and i had suspension damage (95sec. repair, ok race was now over for me and i was not happy.
i did reapair everything and i did loose 1min in pitstop, joco was already miles away (it had can be very very close i think), backo was 25sec. in front of me after his pitbox, so i only did drive 2nd position in G2 class home.
realy not happy about my mistake and my mistakes only always happen in R2P.
good was that this was the 1st race that i had not make fuelsave race in m3 and i had can do fight against NGT class.

Very fun race. Turned out that I should have short shifted both tanks of gas to conserve fuel. I had to splash and dash on the last lap and Charlie took 2nd place. :( I had to really sloooowww way down on the second tank of gas to save fuel and I still ran out. :( Would be tough to catch Spyros anyway.

Was lucky not to get collected by Kevin at T3 on L1 when he got a love tap from Allen, pushing him off to the outside. That left me in 2nd with a chance to get some clean laps in before the 1st stop. I had loaded 100L of fuel so expected to stop on L9/10 and a little mistake on the in lap let Eduardo through, but I was still confident of hanging with him over the distance.

UNTIL - entering the pits I ran a teeny-weeny bit wider than all the stops I've run so far and discovered that although the traffic cones at pit entry are invisible the straw bales hidden in them aren't! I must have just tickled the 1st one but it was enough to rip off a front wheel and kill the front-engined (?), rear-engined 917K.

Sad to go out as I love wrestling these monsters around these vintage tracks. Grats to Ari on his runaway win, Kevin on getting back to 3rd and my Team Boss Barratt on winning the GT2000 race.

That last round at Magny represented quite a turnaround for me. Unlike the Vertigo event, I hadn't done any specific prep for this one at all. And it showed in practice and qualifying; rather than grab a set from a previous NGTX event at a different track and tweak it, I decided to go with a clean sheet approach and see what happened. Was nearly a disaster, as I didn't complete more than a full lap in practice. I kept hitting esc and going back to make changes in the pits - car was awful. Ran out of time, so I just threw softs on and dumped fuel for Q. Salvaged a decent grid spot considering, but actually thought about bailing after Q thinking there was no way I could hang onto that car for an hour. Hit the garage again during warmup and clicked nearly every setup button available - it was serious Hail Mary time in the pits...

Start went fine, and I picked up a couple of spots on L1 due to some hare-brained driving that cost Brian his race, which was a shame. Amazing how a driver can think that trying to outbrake 3-4 cars at once on cold tires is a good idea, when all of them qualified several seconds a lap quicker. FYI - If they are all braking, then it's probably because they need to; if you go flying past before you brake, it's guaranteed not to end well.

That bullet(car) dodged, I slotted into 3rd where it soon became apparent that my last minute, panic-mode setup thrash had paid off and the car was transformed. Not ideal I'm sure, but relatively balanced and benign where it had been miserably unstable. Talk about being relieved! Saw the gaps ahead and behind opening, and was relieved at the prospect of a calm race after the stress of the earlier sessions. I was in points mode so that was fine with me. As was Claudio's approach and pass, which came a bit later - I was more than happy to run a steady 4th to finish out the season and wrap up 2nd in the series.

The plan was a late stop and no tires, but it soon became apparent that the grip had eroded so much that tires were going to be a must; even more so after I spaced out and locked 'em up hard going into Adelaide, clocking Paul in the rear and taking us both off - sorry again Paul! We both were able to resume relatively unscathed, so when I went in on fumes I took tires too. That turned out to be my saving grace. I'd had hards on back for the first stint, but since the last one was going to be shorter I went with mediums. Turned out that they really helped me get off the corners relative to the first stint, and since they were sliding a lot less the wear wasn't any greater. Guess I should've had them on for the first run and stopped earlier rather than floundering around for an extra half dozen laps with lousy grip. C'est la vie...

Got up to speed on the new rubber and saw I was catching Claudio and Aaron at about 1.5 seconds/lap, which meant 2nd was a possibility - amazing at the time, considering how bad I'd been in practice. Claudio graciously gave me room when I got up to him (thanks!), and I was soon on Aaron's bumper. Latched on for a bit looking for an opening, and found it on the inside line when he got into the 180 too hot. We went at it the final couple of laps, with me nearly losing it when David's car froze right ahead of me as he discoed heading into the Imola chicane. That put Aaron right on my bumper, which is how we finished. Couldn't have been more than a few hundredths in it at the line - great way to end to the race! Unfortunately, he must've run afoul of the stewards somewhere as I see he's credited with a DNF - too bad.

Very pleased to end up in 2nd for both the race and the season.

That was an excellent race, with the amount of cars piling in to turn one and everyone coming out, it says a lot for the talent at R2P. The racing was very close and yet everyone had room on the track and in turn respected each others space (albeit a ball hair apart at times), hats off and congrats to the everyone, proving it can be done.

After a lap two I was up to 5th and then in to 3rd by about lap 5 or 6 and 5sec behind Joao. Over the next 25 laps I dropped 4secs on Joao and in the last 10 - 15 mins of the race, I was dropping a second a lap, until it took me two and a bit laps to make a pass on a lapped car.

All in all I had a great race and once again, congrats to Conor and Joao.

LOL.Thanks James. Congrats to Mike though who nearly won it. Was tough knowing I needed to be dead behind you at the finish so had a few panic's throughout when other cars got between us but at the end managed to hold on and finish right behind to win by a point. Great season.

Felt pretty good pace-wise. This track can be tricky with some of the kerbing. But it was fairly easy to be consistent, which is what I tried to do.

I only worked on a race setup, and it was pretty wild w/o any fuel in it..so qual was interesting...

Started 2nd, but I didn't have the best start and I missed a shift point. Eraldo took the line into turn 1 and that was basically how it stayed the whole race. I couldn't really pressure, as we were all doing pretty similar times.

I made a couple small mistakes which dropped me back, but with 7 min left or so, I started pushing harder, and I caught up within 1 sec to Eraldo, but then I'd drop back down. The last few corners I backed off.

It was a fun race anyway. I've never driven here before, but I think it's a pretty cool little circuit.

Congrats to Steve for the win, and apparently the driver champ in this series. Well done!

Sure was, Tristan. I was very lucky to get P3, but I guess just keeping consistent pays off sometimes.

Qualified P6 with a very average time as I couldn't get a clear lap in. My bad there.

The race start was not so good. Dropped a couple positions on the start, and then got tapped the first time through the first chicane, dropping me to P14. I purposely said "NO RED MIST" to myself a couple times, knowing that I had plenty of time to recover. I was hoping to get at least back to my starting position, and I started making good progress in that regard.

At the 30 minute to go mark, I check tire wear. Jeez, all yellow already! But the temps were good and consistent at all four corners so I concentrated on trying to drive smoothly. I caught up slowly, very slowing, to Mark and Evandro, and had good tussles with both of them, especially with Mark over the last several laps. I think Mark's tires were going away as he was sliding a good bit into the tight hairpin. He eventually slid a tad too far and I was able to squeeze by him. By that time I had thrown caution to the wind and was driving the car pretty hard with tire wear indicators deep into the red.

With Eduardo's retirement with about 8 laps or so to go, I was able to get P3. Much nicer result than I was expecting and great racing along the way. Thanks guys!

Congradulations to Andrew and Max! Great race. I had a pretty good race except for one small problem on lap one. Garret had a big run on me going into the bus stop so I slowed down early to let him in. Looking back I probably should have fought harder beacause I ran into him on the very next turn. (What a Idiot) I wanted to formally applogize to Garret for wecking his evening.

Garret has always raced me very clean and I had no reason or intentions on purposfully wrecking him. Sorry Garret.

The rest of my night was pretty uneventful, just tried to keep up with Anderw, David, and Chris. (Too bad you had internet problems again David). Our pit strategy was a little off so after we lost touch with the leaders we could never gain back our track position. Still a very fun race.

My team mates (Ethan and Philip) were also having pretty good night's until the very end of the race. With 15 minutes to go Philip was headed for his first top 5, until I asked him on team speak how many seconds back Barry was (running 6th). Philip responded to me, but forgot to drive at the same time and ran smack into the wall, ruining his night. Ethan was headed for a podium finish only to run out of gas 1/8 of a lap short. I was glad I was able to push him to the finish for a fourth place finish.

Great racing and alot of fun. I look forward to these races every week. See you next week.

I definitely out smarted my self with pit strategy tonight. The race start was definitely exciting. There was almost a pileup before the front straight, David took off and I followed. I looked at the replay and I think Andrew was still trying to pull his undies out of his bung hole when David took off. I was right behind David and had a small run. I planned to follow behind him through turn 1 but he was on the brakes very early and I didn't expect that so I drove to his inside and we went side by side through turn 1. I left alot of racing room and David was not gonna fold, so we went side by side up through the Esses and I think David thought he had me cleared and moved in to the line I was occupying and he bobbled and lost some spots. That caused a furball between 4 or 5 cars. And this is the first sector of the first lap. Very intense!!

The contact I had on lap 1 and another incident a few laps later damaged my aero and I was off pace by a second or two for the rest of the first stint. I lost about 12 seconds to Andrew (2nd place) before the first stop. I made up 6 seconds on the stop and when I was ready for stop 2 I had noticed on the 2 previous stops that my rear tires were wearing really well. Andrew was almost 18 seconds up at this stop so I decided to gamble and only change front tires. I left the pits 4 seconds behind Andrew and I am thinking I am so smart. I gained 19 seconds!! Whoo hoo!! Well 1 lap into this stint I realize this was a HUGE MISTAKE!!! the balance in the car is terrible. the rear is to loose the front has to much grip. I spin twice going in to the boot. and from there I had to tip toe for the entire stint. I lost 2 positions on track from spins. David disconnected (what a bummer dude) and I was in fourth. I made my final stop and drove really hard on the last stint. I was over driving and making so many mistakes that I was lucky to finish 4th. Then coming out of the Boot Ethan runs out of fuel on the last lap. This handed me the 3rd position.

Guys, there is a question. If does a man in the identical class of machines fall behind on a circle, he is under an obligation to skip leaving from a trajectory or to continue to move on it however in anything worldly-wise? Banhem did not simply want to skip, never went down from a trajectory.

Its my first podium finish with the league. I'm very happy i only made 2 small mistake. Love the watkins glen track. Had a good fight with david pain for 3rd.

That was a blast; not a big field unfortunately, but the series contenders were all running in lockstep the whole race so it really didn't matter. I'd say that was my best effort in a while. Managed to keep a good consistent pace in the race, though I struggled to get up to speed at first during online practice and qualifying. Had actually gotten some offline practice in for this one(!), so it was troubling to be out of sorts at first, stumbling around well off my offline pace. Was pretty relieved to finally come around...

Al threw down a killer Q lap with a high 39, which wasn't a surprise; I'd gotten very close to one offline so I figured he was sure to do one if not others as well. MY own 40.7 Q lap had a pretty big big off-track moment during it, so I was surpised to only be about .6 off my best time in 4th. Start went ok after I dodged a car that dive bombed across the grass into Estoril on L1. Lost a bit of gap there but made it back quickly and it was on from there. Was a shame to see Marco have some issues early as it looked like he'd have been right in the scrum as well. That would've been great!

Once the front three got away, I just hounded Matjaz for an opening as we tried to stay in touch with Al. I had an edge from Estoril through the 180, but he was pulling me in the other sectors so it was about a wash over the lap. Al looked to be controlling the pace, but he usually just checks out so I couldn't tell if that was his true race pace or he was just texting his girlfriend and playing with his satnav while driving. ;-)

We all yo-yo'ed in place lap after lap until I got a bit heroic on the brakes into Adelaide on lap 14 and almost looped it. That opened a bit over a 2-second gap to Matjaz ahead, but I was able to close it back up in a couple of laps, just in time to see Al get a slow run off the final chicane, letting Matjaz get under him going into Grand Courbe (T1). Don't think Al knew he was inside as he turned in and they went door to door briefly, but both emerged OK. Looked like Al tried to counterattack immediately into Estoril with an over/under move, but when he pulled it down he lost the rear end and slid off into the gravel trap. Shame as it would have been fun to watch him and MP go at it from close range!

That put Matjaz and me into 1-2, and while I tried to see if I could go for the win, MP really nailed it the last couple of laps and held on - nice job!

Really enjoy racing these cars, so I hope to see more Vertigo races in the future. Anyone who hasn't tried them is missing out on a great opportunity for some great wheel to wheel racing.

Incredible pace by the Leaders!
I did my best to keep up with then trying to earn some speed and learn their lines.
I was pushing too hard, using too much curbs and decided to slow down and keep a safe pace.
+0.642 off the fastest lap during the race is a respectable time and gives me hope to learn more ,improve and get to the +0.500 mark.

Lonely race after lap 5 not much to say, just my usual lack of concentration when running alone on the track.

When it has to be nobody will make things diferent. I was sleeping and supposed not to race but 10 min before race start i wakked up with my teammates on Team Speak as magic and whent for race. Im really happy to see title in your hands and much more ending championship in 4th place, a victory for someone who raced for fun with almost no practice time before races.
