Congrats To Dan on his first R2P win !
Had a great battle in Q for P1 with Matt as we ping ponged the tenth's down to the last laps !

Had a great start holding off Matt as we pulled a gap on Dan & Jan , As the tires warmed i bagan to push a little and found my self with a nice gap to 2nd , was crusing up to the final laps of the stint taking the fuel down to as low as i could , At pit in I noticed Jan and Matt already in . Then on my pit out ,for some reason i punched it hard at the time line and forgot about the tight right hander and the pit barrier ..lol limped around and got back in the pits for 97 sec's of repair .. managed to come out still in 2nd !! wheeww ..

I chose this track to see if the 1.43 version was les buggy than the 1.1 , It was alot less buggy and verry nice to look at but still not compleetly bug free , its not even a bug its just thers somthing up with this track , it still has fps traps where it sucks the life out of the fps then its fine again . same spots as last version .. just not as bad now .. Anyway they did a great job on textures and all, it has nice details with the gpx turned up a bit ..

Im happy to see Palm Beach has no bad spots and runs verry smooth !
My servers up same time slot almost every night for practice , Hope to see some more drivers next week !!

Well, good racing everyone. Sorry I missed so many events. Those early times (5 AM UK) were just too much for me. I've always like this track though, as its just so fast and flowing. We should really do a GT race on this one of these days.

Screwed up my first qualifying lap when Motec decided to open like 3 mins AFTER I pressed the button in game. Panic when suddenly couldn't see where I was going :))). Thought I had the pole down easy when suddenly in the final secs Jose made it known he had other plans... :)

Race time, and I got a pretty good start. The big engined / high torque T-400R is just unmatchable in acceleration compared to the other NGTs, but I think the others were also held up due to a slow starter though.

I had a few secs lead and manage to maintain and pull away consistently from Jon in his Tuscan, but then I was surprised to see Jose blasting though the field in my rear view mirror. He caught up to me in about the space of a lap and I let him by thinking he was driving an RSR while thinking to myself... I can't be that slow??

I tried to up the pace a bit, I could catch him slightly into the corners, but his acceleration out was nothing short of incredible, and he was literally gaining like .5 secs just within like 300m while short shifting.

He continued his turbocharged run and from that point I just let it be, thinking I could get him in the pits. However I pretty much screwed that up too and I think probably everyone overtook me then :))).

Had to REALLY work for it after the stop and managed to get back past everyone. Lol... Vini just pulled over and let me by (thanks mate) :))). From that point I pushed as hard I dared to catch Jose, but every-time I got close he simply went faster and pulled away. At the end I slowed down due to fear of running out of fuel, but it didn't happen and I finished the race in 2nd place.

Incredible speed from Jose's RS and humbling to be smoked so badly by a Rank 3 driver. Well that is the way it goes sometimes...

Congrats to Jose for the victory and Jon for securing 3rd. Great racing everyone else and thanks Michael for hosting.

Podium finish but just because of others retiring from the race. Grats all survivors.

Good race, again not enough pace to think for the win, 2nd came because of the Kolar´s troubles, but the surprise for me is that I´m now in 2nd in the championship, so Tier 1 for the next one and good time to practice.

Thought it would be more fun to do a video report of the race, instead of a writen one. So enjoy ... :P

VLM Sebring

I decided to drive 2 hours before the start of the race. My first 2.4 hours race and first time at Sebring.

I quickly set the car to the max downforce front and rear, softened the car up, shortened 4th and 5th gear and that's was it. The most important thing to me was that the car is stable, that i can easily drive and that a can start learning the track. After the first 2-3 laps, I almost gave up. Track to me was very strange. I thought that I would not succeed to learn the track in such short time. But lap after lap, was more and more interesting and after an hour I started to drive a good laps.

During the race I realized that my easy setup is very slow. I was losing too much on the straight and on the acceleration of the slow turns. But the priority of the race was to finish the race. In the middle of the race, my arm start to hurt lol, I probably put too much FF. Not used to a such long race.

I drove the whole race on one set of tires (hard). I needed to change them in the first entry.

When I passed the finish line, I felt a great relief. It was a tough race for me. Exhausting. At least now I have learned a track well :)

Only just got my qualie lap in before the session finished, and wasn't entirely sure how I managed it given my previous lap-times.

Got a good start, but had Spyros on my tail for the opening few laps, and eventually I decided to let him through, as having a battle was just going to slow us both down, and the c3 was definitely the quicker race car around here. My fears about the c2 came true towards the end of the first stint as I managed to spin the car twice. This let Glyn through, and once the stops were done I eased off a bit and just aimed to finish without incident! T'was a very difficult race!

Well done Spyros and Glyn on 1st and 2nd, and thanks to Jon for running these events.

This is one of my favorite tracks, so I knew that I would finish top 5. I also knew that the M-1 would be much faster, but if I kept my head, the track would take out most of the grid. Well, LeMans is deceptively difficult, so those that don't respect it will go off and brake something. I inherited 3rd. , by just driving smooth. Fun, fun track! I wanna go again, lets go:)

Personally, I have to re-evaluate this non-Q approach of mine. Field here is too fast and too good for me to give away track position. Great job, gang.

Today jo and David had been a bit too fast for me, Congrats on you 2. Esp. the first 10 laps after pitstop i wasnt able to keep contact with you, maybe if i would have been closer, but later more.
In qualy i was happy to set 4th best, just the racesetup with full tape, good so!

In the first part of the race i just settled into a good rythm and followed David and Luis, with Jo behind me at a constant difference of 2 seconds to the lead 2. Then we had the first 2 yellows of this season, and switched to scuffs. After last race i looked more into this matter and i knew my setup was ok with scuffs. my original plan was 25 laps on stickers and 35 on scuffs, but as restart was 4 laps to the end i took it safe and decided to to the last 40 laps with one pitstop, i was scared about fuel, maybe it would have worked, but no gamble this time.

After 2nd restart i could follow Dave and Jo easily and was happy close to them, and even gaining on them, as i could drove longer in the 51's then them. At this point i knew i should at least try the gamble for going full distance. A pitstop looses you 40 seconds, so if i could hold the time distance to less then 2 seconds a lap it would have worked.

Luis on the other side did a bold and great move, he went for right sides only, and i must admit, never thought of it, and he was quite succesfull with it, as he was over 4 seonds behind me before pitstop, and i could get him only in the closing 3 laps.

After pistop i couldnt keep contact to Dave and Jo, and together with Luis i continously lost a few tenths per lap. Maybe i overdrove the tyres (scuffs again) on the first few laps, as i wasnt as fast as on the first stint with them.

So with Jo and Dave out of reach i realised with about 7 or 8 to go, that i could gain on luis 2-3 tenths a lap, and i pushed hard to catch him, almost overdriving the car, had really work hard to keep me under control and concentrated, had to remind me to loosen the grip on the wheel from time to time. with more then 3 to go i was behind luis, and had, just going out of turn 4 in lap 58 i had a great run, and luis offered me the high line, which i took. kept the car high on luis in turn 1 and also in turn 2 but hitted my marks great in turn 2 and sailed bye luis on the backstraight. And brought home my first none win podium.

Could nab away a little bit from the lead of Andy in the standings, but it will be hard work to catch him. So we will race at nashville in 3 weeks time, the track a year ago i did my first arca race here!

Funny thing John if I had not got punted and lost 16s would of been a different story LOL

Congrats Jose for the win. First lap I tapped somebody on the 3rd turn (didn't saw replay yet), I was braking before contact but looks was it was not enough. Anyway sry about that.

Who hit the pole in the first turn ? I saw parts all over.
