Euro FT: Limerock

well that went very bad. Was shocked to quali 2nd, got a ok start. Span in turn 1 on lap 3 i think, was making my way back through the field, got back up to 5th and was slowly catching 4th when a back marker span over the hill right into me.

Went into pits for new wing and got a drive through for speeding. when i came into the pits for the drive though i forgot to put the speed limiter on and got a stop go. So i parked it and went to hit my head on a wall :S

I screwed up mid-way thru the race by getting a bit light over the jump and re-enacted Scott's last lap adventures, with a hard hit to the left side for added enjoyment. After that, the car became harder to turn and I had to give up all hope of catching Vlad and just focused on consolidating my position by braking earlier and taking it easy. Congrats Scotty!

Threw away a top 5 spinning the rears over the hill and loosing it, exactly how I warned myself not to. :-(

I also punted a lapped car (RC I think) mid-race because I thought he was a top 5 car that I needed to race hard. He broke into T1 as deep as a top 5 car and as deep as I was expecting.

However, he slowed down much more than expected and I couldn't get stopped before the slightest of taps (no damage). His required correction to catch it sent him wide (and I think off or partially off). Many apologies!

No worries David, my race was already ruined by that point so it made little difference! I was fairly heavily damaged from lap 1 onwards so I was just trying to salvage some points. I was fairly surprised how quickly you closed up - I thought I'd got at least another corner or so! If I'd have known you'd be there so quickly I'd have moved out of the way.

Got a good qually lap in, I was aiming for the lap record but ended up 0.05 off, which was a shame, but at least I got pole.
The race was uneventful, except for making slight contact wih a backmarker at about half distance when they backed off directly infront of me, and I took to the grass just before turn 4... i didnt feel contact, but i didnt see the lapped car again so I guess they must have spun... sorry but you left me nowhere to go!
The only other event was over the hill on the very last lap when I got all squirrely and ran over the grass. Thought I'd saved it, but forgot about that stupid bump at the end of the wall and didn't get back on track in time, so went for the high jump! Good thing I had 20 seconds in hand...

ok im new so im still learning. qualified 3rd so i though this was going to be a great race. had a very bad start and fell to 7th by the first turn. worked my way back up to 5th then spun on turn 2. no damage but some other car just came and ran right into me. that was game over. very bad 14th place finish for a car that had a chance at wining.

Spawned in the same spot as another car at the rear of the grid. He pulled away first and my wheel went pulling to left like mad. I did the warmup lap and stopped at the rear of the grid to try and re-centre my wheel, but no go, so quit. :(

While I remember, I noticed a couple of bugs with the track:

1) Just before the formation lap, a couple of cars spawned in the wrong places. One was infront of me, Paul was at the rear, maybe there were others.

2) The pit lights dont work. At the start of qualifying the light was green but I got a fine for exiting under red.

another bug is the pit lane flashing light for traffic. It flashes at the entrance to pit not the exit

I got fined in quali as well Scott, for me the light was green also.
