Lime Rock Park PMSC

Had a very good race with the 9 people that showed up.
Would like to see twice as many cars at Riverside.

I lined up with Qgas...

Prerace:

This seem like a track that might be challenging in these cars and a few laps affirmed this. Did a few longer runs to check the tire wear and work on consistency.

Qualifying:

Qualifying was tight with the top three covered in less than .1
I knew I had more speed in me, but putting it all together here proved elusive.

Race:

Turn one didn't go so good with one of the cars in the inside lane getting a good rear end shunt from behind spinning him sideways and immediately into me and Carlos Ortiz sending Us spinning. Light contact with the guardrail but all seemed okay. I know was a long race including a pit stop so the good finish wasn't out of the question. Entered back in at the back.

Good driving saw me back in P2 by lap 22, then thinking about what was next I ended up spinning and giving a place back. All was looking good until my pitstop, I received a stop and go penalty for speeding. I definitely shouldn't have made this silly error. I did several really clean successful to entries in practice. However,I need to learn rFactor pit controls for sure. I haven't done many races will pit stops. I ended up coming in twice to serve the stop and go but all it did was change the tires and I ended up getting DQ.

The kind of race you don't want to write a race report for, but I learned where I need to improve.

I burned the speed limit in the pits, was too distracted ..... it is sad to see that there are pilots who do not appreciate the simulation. There are limits on the track and should be respected .... that is not simulation.

Thanks everybody for taking part in my series. Enjoyed racing with everybody.
I may try another series this fall when I get done harvesting from my garden.
Thinking of trying some 30 minute sprints starting an hour later to see if we can get a good turn-out.
