Historical Buenos Aires Grand Prix

This is my second win ever in the R2P :) so happy.

First of all, grats for Ihab fir the win and Jose for the pole. Now my story...

I came back to Buenos Aires in the race day trying RS12, JS11 and FW07. The last one gave me the best pace so I chose it. I tried to reach low 1:41, my best laptime ever, but it was a lack of time. Jose was the quickest man on qualifying session, but my last counted lap was pretty fast in S2, where I had 0.1 advantage over him. Finally I did mistake in S3 and took P2.

Race start was pretty bad. I lost some positions, but after many battles I reached P4 and spun by too much throttle on corner's exit. Unluckily I have got side hit and broke my suspension. Sorry for that little mess on the track which I did trying to go to pits.

I had 10 s. to Ihab and after Jose's retire maybe I could take the podium or ever win, with luck.

I have great battles with Dominik Satel in his McLaren. Salute to him!

Too less time for preparing good stable race setup. Some brakings was curious for me, too much driving with qualy set.

Anyway, nice event. Count me in next time.

Another DNF in an open wheeler but i still enjoyed it. Got a crap start and went off at T1 glanced the barrier but no damage and rejoined in 13th only to get a tap on my rear in one of the braking zones which did leave me with some damage, but the car felt ok so i carried on.
It soon showed that i had a lack of preparation for this race as i began to find some more pace at a few stages around the track and i was wishing i could change my gearing for the last section as i was having to change gear just at the wrong time.
I made it up to i think 6th when pushing too hard i went wide in T1 and lost a bit of time and some places before i rejoined.
Made it back up to 7th and tried to put some pressure on the car in front and did get a few good laps in but by this time i was friggin knackered as i went off again and this time i had damage so i limped back to the pits but i think i needed more attention that what my car did, it was 23C i was sweating like a pig and my beer was finished to i got out and went for a refill, at 52 i think i am getting to old for open wheeler action

Well I practiced alot for this race as well as for the Mosport 79 F1. Qualify was very crowded and couldn't find clear track to get her wound up and warmed up, I kept getting tangled. Oh well, I knew it would be all about car preservation so the starting position didn't worry me because I figured I would just pick them off one by one and work my way to the front.
Race start was good ( didnt crash :), and was on my marks. But after about 5 to 10 laps I realized I had made a mistake. Too much fuel! Way too much fuel onboard, and my lap times showed it. I knew the car would come to me when I hit 25 gallons of fuel left, but that wasn't going to happen until it was too late! I didnt get to that level until it was too far into the race to matter.
Had a good couple of races with the back markers and stayed on the lead lap for 6th. Im happy with that! Congrats to the podium.
