Euro FB: Trois-Rivieres

I really sucked today...
Qualifying was ok, couldnt expect any better than 2nd
In the race I got off to a good start and was sitting pretty in 2nd, when I just lost concentration into T1 and span. I managed to recover in 3rd, and quickly caught Milan. I tried to take him into T2, which was were there was most room and I had most pace, but I hit a bump and lost it while going down the inside and span both of us out... I'm really sorry Milan, it was totally my fault :-( I made sure he got going first, but again caught him quickly and passed him at T1. Then I set off after Craig, caught him with two corners to go, but he blocked me down the final two straights so I couldn't get through, but it looks like our positions have been switched... I guess it was deemed to be excessive.

Hopefully next time I wont drive like a complete spaz... dont know what got into me :-(

Didnt suck as much as I did, got caught out in T1, went a lap down, spent the rest of the race obeying blue flags and hitting walls.

Been 3rd. on qual. and most of the race when Scott spunned.
Then we battling couple of laps which ended in contact that coused Craig to gain second position. In next lap I let Scott to pass me and just cruising in 4th position till the end.

Grats Wyatt for another win.

The game seems to throw out blue flags when front runners are ridiculous distances behind you. I had to really slow down and pull over on some occasions and even got a drive through penalty for it.

Still, if I hadn't crashed into that wall I wouldn't have been in that situation so it's my own fault really.

I didn't think Blue Flags counted at R2P???

I had nowhere near the pace of the fast end cars. And no idea where to get it from. I could run 1-4 wing to 12-13 for the exact same lap times anyway, so it didn't seem to be from top end speed. And it was also as if you may as well not care about the wings as they drove identically too!

The only important thing was the right BALANCE of wings....even 2 clicks of wrong balance meant a notable drop in car balance and driveability! But get it right and it goes from difficult to "on rails".

But nothing helped me find the time....which was mainly coming in the last sector and maybe from people running out wide around that fast right hand section I guess. I refused to exceed the curbing so that might have cost something notable(?).
Same for turn 1 and running left over the pit lane line, not doing that probably cost 0.2 in the first sector.

Add those up...and still miles too slow in total anyway!
So I was missing some key thing of importance for Trois!

Then for the race, a rear lock up when in some battle and I spun and dropped miles back to about 17th, that meant a huge time loss and even more from the struggle to get back up through the field. So even 10th was lucky to get back to!

I several times got messages in the chat that I would be penalised if I did not observe the blue flag, even though as Rob said the cars seemed some distance behind.

Yeah I got them at times too, but I ignored them!
Seeing it was said they are not enforced, and that there aren't even ANY Blue Flag rules at R2P.

It was more a fluke that for one of them, that did say I would be penalised if I did not move over, was right about when I had planned to let the car by anyway! Possibly very lucky for me!

The ISI Blue Flag ystem has always been useless. It would need far more intelligent checking than they do to work out the true times Blue Flags should be shown, and what unfolds to need a penalty, or not, at all.

So about all the game Blue Flags are good for is an indication of a car coming. Certainly not to be used to trigger penalties!

And you would hope that DRIVERS would be smart enough to come up with the best and fairest decision on how and when to allow a Blue Flag car to pass them as unimpeded as possible....as soon as possible.
