Euro FB: Jiading

It was quite fun.

Congrats Scott - was it lonely up there? You had such a huge lead.

My race started out with snaking my way through the turn 1 messes, which I managed to do without mishap. My first few laps were pretty good, just behind Craig M. until he spun on turn one, lap 4 I think. I got by him, a few laps later he caught up and we battled until lap 12 when I took a corner a bit wide and let him slip by. He was so close numerous times, just couldn't squeeze by me though. Overall a fun race, tough cars to drive on this track with the most asinine chicane in all of racing.

My PC took literally years to find the server list, so I missed practice and most of qualifying... luckily I'd taken the liberty of setting a few laps earlier, so I had a setup and one qual lap was enough for 4th... my PB would have gotten me pole, but whatever...

Off the line I beat Milan, and got right on Janko's tail. He blocked me to the inside, so I pulled a Hamilton on his arse and passed him and Craig around the outside and took the lead! We had a little contact when Craig drifted wide, but all fair. From then it was just a battle of concentration until the flag :-)

Chip: I think you were racing Craig M ;-)

heheh, look at that, you're right. Craig H. would never find himself back in the nether regions of the field. Fixed in my race report, can't fix in the pic caption.

Man my day was bad and it surely didnt get any better at the time of race, neither after the race... All the kebap places closed down like 5mins before i arrived... im hungry and in need of a beer.. :P

Well.. race was... sucky. I didnt have the grip in first corner, i probably spinned on my own i dont know. Then coming from back in lap i punted some yellow/green car im sry for that :(. I didnt drive through on 1st lap since i didnt know where is pit entry, i did it on 2nd lap hope thats ok.

Then as soon as im out of the pit, a car spins infront, and i cant avoid it... my car front gets beating. So it was tourture from that point on to get from the back to 7th place.

i just hate wednesdays :P grats to scott

I missed qual, and start from 20 place. After some laps i was 12 and could be better, but mistake during downshifting (1 gear instead 2nd), spin and i only 18 :( Then were some buttles and finishing 16 only with FL 1:19.8xx
OK, i have some speed already. :)

It was a bit hard to finish in any good position, after being spun out by rear end hits twice before half of the first lap was even done!
So I was left last and about 4secs behind 2nd last at that half lap point.
I didn't see ANY drive thru's occuring at all, which seemed amiss - though I didn't really know the circumstances of what happened to anyone exactly.

Thus began a long struggle to get through the field, which is slowish to achieve when making sure to do it without shoving or detrimentally affecting anyone. More so in very weak powered cars. And I finally made it to 10th, but there isn't much time to do much in only 17laps and needing all that time to find ways past cars fairly and safely.

Oh...I ended up 9th for some reason. I guess someone tha thad been ahead of me was pnenalised(?).

I've been lucky in first corner when someone from back bumped me and I almost spunned but luckily avoid it and continued in 3rd place behind Craig H. Was a solid drive and I passed Craig somewhere on the half distance and felt he just let me go :).
We finished in same order.
Scott wasn't near anyway, grats.
