Rouen-Les-Essarts '70 Formula 1 '79

I can't believe my engine blew after only 3 corners by over heating. Thats what you get for being on pole and having to wait for everyone else to line up on their spot. I probebly did the formationlap to slow. Real shame. I really like driving these cars, although it seems I have no experience what so ever. Next time I will turn the engine off :).

Grats to all 4 finishers and all others who tried. These cars are surtenly not easy to drive.

I apologize that I had to bail out. I had promised my wife I'd go someplace with her and with all the problems we were running a bit late.

But I love these cars. I am not sure the mod itself is very stable and I think we should test it a bit more before running a league on it (if that's the intention).

By the way, it's best not over rev these cars while waiting for the field to form up. They blow up. I actually knew that and I wish I had remembered that small particolar. I would have saved a few of you from blowing the engine.

I actually joined r2p just to race these cars. I have been exploring and I like what I see.
One thing I didn;t see is the availability of HistoryX (rfactor based, needs GT legends disk). Just today they released a new update and it's possibly one of the best mods for rfactor. It would be great to set up a vintage car league with it.

Fancied running this race but didn't have a lot of time to practice. when i joined the server i realised i had practiced the wrong layout. didn't fancy going through the pain of reconfiguring the gearing, wing and strategy so instead left it.

I'll be there for Mosport!

edit: over revving the engine on the formation lap or running too small a radiator opening will cause overheating.

After super laggy server, i get booted and cant find the server again.

Is any possibility to repeat the event?

These cars needs an extra care in warm up lap/formation lap, think about how is the track and where u can warm tires/brakes and where u can cool down the water temp and oil, if its necessary stop the engine if u arrive too early at start line

I think it should be repeated after all the trouble we had, somebody mentioned that the track is the cause? I can't see it myself but if it is, it shouldn't be available!

Big big thing we didnt race here, server was not coming up and we get crazy and then no race, Im sorry guys, and congrats Winner and podiums and finishers, looks like was a hard race...

+1 for a rerun next sunday.

But the result of last race should stand as it is. It wouldn't be fair to take that away after all that hard work.

I wonder if its possible to fire the pitcrew? I limp back to my pitstall with some minor damage(right front suspension gone/front wing gone/rear wing gone/sidepod damage/...) and they refuse to make repairs!

I wanted to go back out sooo bad...Fun mod!!!!
