Mosport GP Formula 1 '79

Sergio Casanovas, you hit me badly in the start and ended my race early, I was aiming to get the win tonight, but bad luck. any way nice track and series, thx Jose. :)

I found myself in first and all I had to do was finish. But lost concentration and broke the suspension. This is my favorite mod! Looking forward to more 79 f1. I hope we stick with the era pertinant tracks, rather than running on modern tracks. But if we just call it a revival, then its ok. Whatever, lets just do more old racecar stuff. Im ranting. Neato mod, thanks Jose.

Another good event. I was fast again and fought on pole position. Again Jose was a tenth faster (and Ihab did the good lap too). That was close. And again I did mistake (like on Buenos) in S3 in qual in my ultimate fastest lap.

Start was awful. I started normally but the cars before me (Ihab) were flying around. I avoided the danger by turning left but my car was sliding a little. Then I received the hit from behind (why, oh, why?!) and hit the wall with the front wing (that was lucky).

I decided to visit pits and repair (WRONG!). After leaving pits my car drove the same so I realised it wasn't necessary. In addition, I have got a drive-thru penalty for pitlane speeding. Finally I have found the good pace (1:11.3) and the car drove ok with the steering wheel turned 45 degrees on left. I began to pick up the slower drivers but I still was 1 lap back. Anyway, the race distance was long so I thought nothing is lost.

On my lap 5 my 2 years old kid woke up and I was home alone with him. I had to stop the race and retire.

Big SORRY Ihba i sayd shit big shit becouse you were very fast and i was hoping for a good race up front, big sorry, i hate this I was there accelerating trying to find the way becouse i had a little more traction and was not space by the rigth and when i was trying to move left to ober take you i heat your car l¡sligti but enoff to destroi your race im sorry.
Apart from this i enjoy like a beast the first 25 laps, with a amazing battle with Jose, missing fast guys like Marek and Ihba..., then a smal accident broke my rear wing and in the long strigth going to pit my car start flying and when to the wall and i stall the engine, end of my race when 2dn, congrats podium specialy finishers, and congrats Jose for a good series.

This track with these cars sure was a tough combination and to make matters even more difficult ,missed a lot of practice time coz of some unexpected things came up. Fortunately i did some basic testing night before and car was at least safe to drive , althou not very fast.

Q: It was what it was ,race setup didn't feel good at all with Q-tires and had some traffic also but anyways only 9th on the grid ,tough place to be on start :| .

R: Good launch but the path was blocked on both sides and had to back off which eventually turned out to be a good thing , because there were cars spinning left and right and i would have prolly been right in the middle of it. Now i had time to slow down and find a way through but it was a close call.

Few other cars were not so lucky and picked up few places there , then almost had a crash with Daniel ( i think) after a misunderstanding from my side.
Sorry about the nudge there Daniel , i thought you were heading into the sandtrap and went for the inside but you recovered quickly and had the line into the corner.I hope i didn't broke anything on your car , my car survived without a scratch.

Few laps later it was clear that i had too much wing but car felt ok and had some good racing there with Canta in the early laps and some action later on with Rogier but most of the time it was a bit lonely. Laps winded down and cars were dropping out one by one but i couldn't have imagined in my wildest dreams that i was leading the race , until 10 laps from the end when i cycled through the hud screen :O .

Barrett was still only 30 some seconds behind and the last laps felt like forever , in almost any other series a half minutes lead feels more than safe but with these cars anything can happen at any time. Got the car home in one piece and in 1st place which was a bit of a shock but hell...i'll take it :D.

NP Samuel, didnt felt a thing and i tought at that time that it was an issue with the track, we have seen invisible things before lol!! as you said i didnt suffer any damage all was good, i was just trying to stay concentrated to not make mistakes cause i knew this mod rewards survivers :) but i eventually made one, race over :( i think i would have been second after you, i was trying to keep Mike at around 10 sec behind at the time i lost my concentration, if i am not mistaken, getting old and memory, you know lol
