Canceled due to the lack of participation....hopefully this doesn't happen for the GT/G2 race on Thursday.

Heh, no Cory, I'm no where near brave enough to do what you do. I work in IT Financial Systems. Jumping out of a airplane with a nylon bag strapped on my back senior yr in college was about as brave as I get. :D

I came out on race with intermediate tyres (big mistake). Was very off the pace even have very good acceleration from turns. On the hairpin I was hit not really hard, but the car reacted very weird and spun. After that the car was even more undrivable.

Jumped in way late and barely got in a few laps of qualifying. Didn't realize this race was scheduled for last night. D'oh! :)

Qual'd 4th, which was okay. Far from my fastest lap, but that's fine. It was raining for the race with a damp track and a forecast for rain. So I opted for soft/hard wets. Turned out to be the optimum choice!

I was able to turn high 1:05's from the beginning of the race up until my last lap. Worked my way past Dean for 3rd. Then fought to try to catch Conor after that. Took me a long time to reel him in, but I did. Then at the real tight right hander he went wide and I ducked to the inside. Conor drifted out and touched the grass. I was trying to hold the car tight to not force him out too far, yet still be able to plant the tires of my Porsche. We came out of that side by side and I had *maybe* a fender at first. Then the power of Conor's M3 came on and by the right hander we were pretty much side by side! I held a really tight line and did my best to hug the rumble strip. Conor was outside and we touched just a bit. Conor went off, but I don't believe he had any damage.

I hardly had any time left, but I tried reeling Kent in. I was pulling some time on him, but Kent was likely in conservative mode by then with a 6+/- second lead.

Fun race. Conor, I really liked battling it out with you. You were impressively quick in that car given your choice of intermediates!

Tommy

Was kinda of a boring race for the most part. I was planning on running a RSR but saw that the G2 class needed some more drivers so i switched over and used the BMW. I wasn't too surprised that Kent was faster than me in practice in his porka; the BMWs were not able to use the whole package on this little course.

Skipped qualifying and ended up starting in the back. It was a standing start in the rain and i chose intermediates because the track was only damp. Right off the bat i had an awesome start; went from 9th to 3rd before i crossed the start finish line hehe. Spent a few laps pressuring Fernando until he made a mistake in the hairpin. I then focused on Kent and kinda followed him closely for most of the race. However, my tires never got up to temp and because of that, never gripped the track well and made me wear them out faster. So i started falling back from him and into the clutches of Tommy. I started making a few mistakes and he finally capitalized on one i made in the hairpin and beat me for 2nd place going into "esses". It was a tight squeeze and we did touch and i did end up going into the grass because of it but it was just a racing deal and finally took 3rd...no problem there :).

Heh, didn't see your post Tommy. Thanks for the complements :). I was actually kinda surprised you caught up to me....i thought i had 2nd in the bag. Those last few laps were interesting and wished i kept it on the track to battle you some more...oh well :)

I was surpirsed to get this win. I started on Intermediates and I am not convinced that was the best choice. Someone in a BMW was really challenging me early, so much so that I was about to give up the position to avoid a wreck. Then all the sudden I had 1.5 then 2 seconds gap and it just kept growing. I saw late that someone was gaining a little but by then all I needed to do was keep it on the track.
