2nd online race and learning money paid hard in cash ...
Just got home 2min prior to quali after lousy strike day at work, meaning overtime for me.
Put in 3-4 hours practice in this one and managed to qualli 11th about 1sec slower then PB, but still satisfactory after such a lousy preparation.
Knocked off in T1 but was somewhere about 10th and made an error in first chicane, tried reverse gear but... fiddled with plr earlier this week and forgot to map reverse on my shifter... race over
Still had nice time and fun watching you guys.

Wow what a race. I was pissed in quali because the car was crap and I hadn't driven it previous to qualifying. Managed 11th, and got a great start that put me up to 5th or 6th. I started following Craig, with Heinz trailing very closely behind me. We had the best race I've had in a while, his defensive driving was phonominal and I had to wait until he made a mistake before I could go by (which was with 4 laps to go). The two of us drove off pretty much alone, and we were 2nd-3rd after Eric spun in the corkscrew-ish thing. After he spun, I had given up on catching Jan until I saw how much time I made up on him in the last 3 corners and then the first 2 (about 1 second incl. the front straight). Then I drove like hell to catch him and I did, but I coulnd't get by him. Damn American fat-assed car...

Congrats Jan on the win, and awesome racing with you Craig...best race in a long time.

Congrats to the podium. It seems it was a good fight in the top positions.

I can only be happy with my final position after qualifying so bad: I could avoid a spun car right at T1 in the 1st lap, I didn't make any major mistakes, did not punt anyone and no one punted me, so it was a fun race.

Quallied in 3rd well knowing that I had to have a good start to have a chance. Also knew that overtaking in the first 2 or 3 corners were vital or I'd be hung out to dry...fast.
Got a decent start, reacted a little slowly, but still managed to get by 2nd place before T1. Then motored my way past Eric to snatch 1st in T3. Through the next 20 minutes or so, it was a cat and mouse catch game. Every time Eric got close, we hit a straight and I pulled away with him catching right up once we hit corners, especially the long right hander towards the end was hard on my LF.
Got a small push in the downhill chicane on the way out which got me some mega oversteer, but being the gentleman Eric is, he waited. Thanks for that :)
A few laps later he tried again in the same chicane but spun realizing he was about to come too close.
That gave some breathing room the next 10 laps or so until Tom caught me up. Could see that the gap was vanishing fast and he was getting bigger and bigger in my mirror. Hoped to death that time would run out before he caught up. Entering T1 on the last lap he got awfully close, but I held my line and motored away a little. Managed to keep a small gap and knew that the last place he would try something was in the long right hander towards the end, my weakest point. Drove with one eye out the window, the other one in the mirror. Made the Viper as wide as I could and semi-shut the door when he tried to sneak up inside, but as he found out (;)), there was no room.
Won my first race in R2P, but had it gone one more lap, it, most likely, would have ended differently.

LOL I got the image of you driving all googly-eyed with one pointing up and the other looking down trying to keep an eye on me :p

This was in intense race right from green lights.. T1 was pretty crowded.

I was doing well to stick around on the first lap, unfortunate error from teamate put him out of contention. Then i was trialing robert till he made a mistake. Did well then to pull a gap to John and Ari, and closed in on Tomo and craig battling.. Wow .. I was enjoy just watching it and was never really wanting to join the battle, but wrather wait for sloppy seconds. Eric made a mistake and ended up putting me through my paces. I fell behind tomo and craig trying to stay ahead until craig ended up being very slow, and it got confusing at T1 passing him, becuase i got a blue flag? so that put me off slightly and allowed Eric to get through.. Thats how it ended.

Well done eric agian, very nice and clean and competitive on your first race. Podium well earned!

So disappointed with myself, worked really hard to get a good set up for the Z3M and it was looking good, qualifying 5th, but I threw it away half way round the first lap. I got a freaky reaction when I touched the kerb out of the fast chicane, the car just veered across the track, it hadn't done that once in loads of practice laps. Don't think it was simply cold tyres either, just a crap piece of driving. Had to repair the car so I rejoined a lap down and change. I got good times for the rest of the race but it was never going to do me any good. Even more disappointed knowing I could have got a good result here if I'd been more sensible.

Well done Master O'Gorman! You drove an exceptional race today young man :) You attacked at the right times and had patience when it was needed... It really was enjoyable defending against you knwoing that I wasnt going to get punted. After the first few laps I realised that you were paying attention and wouldnt end up rear ending me from impatience or brainfade. You drove a really good race and deserved the 2nd place. I put the car into the wall 4 laps from the end and did a quite a bit of front end damage. Spent the last few laps trying to limit losing positions. Near the end Heinz made a move into the first corner and I gave him a squeeze but left enough room (i think) to get through which he did.. this unfortunatley compromised him the next corner and he lost a postion *Ek is jammer my vriend*

sorry steven .. i guess it was me that spun you .. I apologize .. and did the drive-through too

woke up just before official practice started .. so I was a bit rusty.. but i did ok with a 1:26.3 but qually was bad .. did a time almost 1.5 seconds slower due to traffic and some mistakes from me. Then I spun Steven in T2 .. did the drive through so found myself last . managed to get a few positions due to some DNFs and passes on a few cars .. but i really should've been in the top 5-10 .. well . next time .

Buggered it up early on having got a decent setup by losing my front splitter.

Good work Tom O'G and good win Jan, wish I could have been up there with you.

Just kept going after coming out of the pits to see if I could pick up any scraps and grabbed 15th and 1 pt.
