Just wanted to apologise for no-showing; got stuck at the office late again tonight and didn't get a chance to unregister. Hate to miss an Elise race, but glad to see my mates on the podium - well done guys!

I did not make it out of the garage :-(

It was a fun race to watch though.

Had a good race, and was happy with my 7th.
Was looking forward to a good run with Gregg again, but saw him disappear in a cloud of smoke in my mirror... not sure what happened there.
Spent most of the race trying to catch Tommy after that, but to no avail, I would get a couple of seconds up on him and then he would pull away.

I started from pole but a poor exit out of turn 1 on lap 1 lost me 2 places behind Mark and Garret. I got a better exit out of the last turn and was able to pass Garret on the inside into turn 1 on lap 2 but Garret turned into my left rear side and I spun out. This put me back into 7th but I was able to make a few passes and was behind Garret again fighting for 2nd. Out of the last turn 1 again got a much better exit, but Garret seem to get lose it and spin. I am not sure if I touched you Garret and if I did I apologise. I was 6 seconds behind Mark at this point with 4 laps left. I managed to get the gap down to 1.4 seconds but ran out of laps.

I hadn't encountered anybody in practice, and was quite surprised to find myself a full 5 seconds off lead pace going into qual. Next time I'll make sure I chat with my teammates about times so I can be better prepared. I qualified 14th, but was quite psyched out by that enormous gap- so I lowered my wing pretty drastically after qual. Despite recognizing last week on this very forum what a bad idea it is, I made another last minute change *sigh*. Things went great the first couple of laps- I got a good jump on the start, and after a couple of cars spun off in T3 I was up to 9th almost immediately. If I had kept my stable setup I probably could have held on to a top 10 spot, but after a couple of laps the rear end started to get light. Looked like Gary Miller had a similar problem, as we did identical pirouettes going into T6. Recovered from that ok, actually picked up Gary's spot in the confusion, but the loose condition only got worse and I couldn't keep it together. A few laps and a few spins later and I was dead last, and it was all I could do to keep myself from hitting esc in disgust. Thank goodness it was only a 10-lapper.

I really didn't think i had a chance to win, after seeing the low times from the Euro race (on tuesday the best lap i could make was in the 2:08's) I was fighting car setup for practice and qualifing, I made a bunch a changes before the race which i know is a big no-no. I changed the front anti-roll, front spring, front and rear packers, and made a air pressure change. Well it all seemed to help enough to hang on for the win. I'm still in shock that i won. :-)

Kris, you were the biggest mover, starting in 14th and finishing in 7th, good job man!
