Euro EC: Donington

Fun and exciting!

Started bad with Sasa overtaking me on first turn. After that I I passed Jon who spinned. Soon he was behind me and Sasa. Overtook him and tried to keep away from Jon but I understeered in last turn and lost 2 positions. After that I was watching the first 3 fight, when Marko spins just infront of me. After that was safely on 3rd. Finished 3 seconds behind Jeffrey which is not bad :)

Great fun, had a blast. This was the first race with Race2Play and it certainly won't be the last. I had two goals for this one, simply to finish, and more importantly not to knock anyone out. I was able to accomplish both, as well as finishing on the lead lap. I learned a lot and look forward to my next race out. I was amazed at how clean the racing was, truely a great experience, and I'm ready for more.

I really enjoyed that. Didn't bother with qually as I missed the first 5 minutes and didn't want to get in any ones way.

I Had a pretty close run in the race with Ciocanau, Carty and Tucker for most of the race, so thanks to those guys. There seemed to be a lot of wrecks to avoid(!), but I suppose in a sprint like this it's going to get hectic.

All in all that was 20 minutes well spent with a little car that eats tyres. And welcome aboard Richard.

Hard race, Sasa got past at the start and I could never get back past him, couldn't even stay near in the early stages to be fair. But in the 2nd half of the race I got better and caught him but couldn't pass. On the last lap I tried to get a fast run out of the right hander onto the back straight to have a go but I lost control and went onto the grass. That gave Marko back 5th place so I had to settle for 6th.

I had serious doubts whether to participate in this event after watching the laptimes, 'cause I'm not too fond of this car and couldn't get under 41s, but finally I decided to give it another try.

Following my premise of not pushing too hard 'till I have enough experience I managed to stay almost in the same position I qualified, well I moved one spot ahead. I hope I didn't block anybody during the race.

By the way, how can you top drivers be so fast? I think I need some online lessons...

Congratulations on the title Jon, and to both Sharks for a one-two finish.

In the end it was the most exciting race of the season. Some real bumper to bumper racing all race long...Ok only for 10 laps but you get the meaning ;-) Just couldn't get past my team mate Jeff. We were side by side quite a few times but I could never get a car length ahead. 2 corners from the end I thought I had him but just had to ease off the gas as the back end was slipping around and that was enough for Jeff to get down the inside for the last corner and take the win. Great racing all around though and a deserved win for JR.
