UKFormula Euro F3: Montreal

What can I say, I love this track! Whatever I race in here I seem to be more competitive than anywhere else!

Well that was a good win Scott, and fast times!
A few others in the range, but none up there by the end.

I had a good race, considering I didn't practice till before it. I had a prior car setup and thought I should be able to jump in it and be fine. Ooops. I could not drive it at all anymore!! Thus had to re-setup a completely new car in the 20mins prior. Which I JUST made it in time to get it all balanced out and passable. But I suspect I had too little wing, as I did not get time to move up through the range of wing setting to see the best. And I was getting killed in the esses areas, thus expect others had far more wing than I did.
That also showed up to be likely because later in the race when it was getting very skatey and I was losing the guys ahead by a lot as laps ran out.

That will teach me not to practice and really be ready! sheesh
But at least 6th was good considering it all.

I liked not having to pit!!!

I think this is the tird set I've made for myself, but only the first set to actually pay off for me :P

I didnt suspect myself on 2nd place after the qualy, as I saw some of the competitors were well into mid 35s during the practice session! I managed to grab 2nd on my last lap of the qualy session, with not much seperating me from 3rd, so I was preparing for a close race.

The start went ok, I was nearly passed for 2nd in the first corner but managed to hold on, only to see Mr Michaels pull away like there was no tomorrow :P .

As the race progressed I was being catched by 3rd, and all I was focusing on then was to keep the car in between the wall, not making any mistakes, maintaining a steady pace. One lap I saw him in my rear view mirror, the next, he was gone. I think he might have crashed, or spun or something.

I felt there was nothing left to do other then start safing it as the race entered the final segment. Once again, a 3rd place car was gaining on me at the end, but I felt I had this controlled and finished the race in second..

.. Which is a R2P career best for me, so Im happy :D
