GTX: Magny-Cours

Payback successful!

I came on the server 10min before qualifying without practice and setup. I knew I had a good chance to win, so I was trying to make the best of it.

Qual was enough to take the pole and set a record. Could shave off a few tenths though, but the time was pretty good.

Started a little slower than CJ, but it wasn't enough for him to overtake me. In the first lap, I noticed I was hitting the rev limiter more than 100 meters before the braking point... Loaded some Donington setup for the F575, but forgot to extend the gears.
CJ was sticking behind pretty well. Soon he was falling behind. My strategy was to take no tires and it was a good one. After the stop I was second. I though what the heck, but I was back 1st after a lap with a lead of 26 seconds.
The last 25min just didn't want to come to an end. Seemed like it took ages but in the end I won!

I'm glad my ISP finally let me finish a race. That was hard work in the Lister, I couldn't hold off Dennis any longer after about 8 laps and then Aubrey got me later on. Mark M had an incident right at the end which gave me back one place, although it was close. Nearly caught Aubrey back up but ran out of laps. Pretty happy with 5th in the Lister.
The start was crazy, I saw Heinz and Tom just taken out right in front of me and that made me very nervous, unlucky to you guys.

I lost track of how many times I was hit by other drivers. Aren't we supposed to not hit each other? Maybe I don't understand the rules. I wasn't very fast, but I did not block anyone.

My computer crashed anyway. Waaaa...

Pace was pretty good even clocked the fastest racelap, but was also driving the ass off in the Lister. Soon english rubber started to drop off and I fell into into clutches of George, and started loosing time focusing on the Lambo, finally decided to let him by so we could pick up some pace, but then ofcoz he spun out infront of me next lap :-o
After a disasterous pitstop, stalling to far ahead of the spot and then on the way out someone just pulled into their spot ahead of me making me stall it again, 20s lost there. Was a good strategy but the 550 in front was too far ahead then and since he didnt take tires it wouldnt have mattered much, had to push alot and the tires wouldve prolly been useless in the 2nd part.
So second stint I needed to get my hands dirty. Had a little incident with Dennis, he went abit wide in the 180 so I snuck to the inside but then in the last minute he recovered some and left my no room to avoid a little tag, sorry bout that, no the biggest incident but I let still decided to let him by again just b4 the race ended.

This is the 3rd GT race in a row I have been pushed off the track on first corner or lap 1....

Had been looking foward to this race since i realised my laptimes in the saleen could be with a shot for podium today.. Prays were answered and i got a 4th in quali, then during warmup Milan got a discon, so Awesome I start from P3!!!

George got a good start on me, and i left him room on the insinde to Take T1 and then try get behind for slipstream out of T2...
but then i get pushed off by a red 550 lawnmower cutting the grass and also almost taking out George then managing to run me off the track .. hit a lovely wall and did a flip in the air.. back of pack THANK YOU SO MUCH ... [Edit by TM - Take it up privately please]...

My comeback was awesome after i finally let it go when i saw that driver had x2 drive throughs ..
The saleen was still working nicely and i was making my way back up the field, had some excellent racing. Got up to 7th or 8th but had to pit for a splash and dash to make it to the end 3 laps from the finish.. when i came out i Was still in with a shot to take Claudiu for 9th but he managed to hang on and defend well for last 2 laps... well done..

That was probably my best drive in GTR2 yet! I had to start 20th thanks to a CTD in qualifying. Found myself in 10th very quickly mostly due to accidents. :( Had some good battles with Fish and Adams and a few others.

Then I got hit with that phantom car bug again and had a very scary moment in one of those fast esses again when I went off trying to avoid a car that suddenly appeared to be stationary. Then there was some invisible car driving around for a while. I could see sparks and hear his engine, but there was nothing there. Is there something wrong with my graphics settings??? My timing seemed to be all screwed up too. I had no idea who I was racing with in the later part of the race. Hope I didn't hit that invisible car! Anyway, I can say I had a pretty good race in spite of the distractions.

This race sucked so bad it's not even expressable in words. Quali was bad, I was trying too hard and wasn't doing well. I wound up 7th after Milan's disco. My start was good, I made it up to 4th I think, but then on the straight some idiot took me out? ON THE STRAIGHT!? You've GOT to be kidding me. I'm going to the replay to find out who it was and filing a complaint, that is really ridiculous, we were going STRAIGHT! If your going that much faster than me, go AROUND not into my back end. Anyway, I spun into the wall, then back across the track. Good job everyone else for not hitting me, sorry about that problem. I got back going and was passing someone on the inside of that slow lefty when they turned down on me and spun us both. So now I'm really, really pissed, driving mad and pushing so hard that I'm making stupid mistakes. Heinz was right behind me, I was holding him up a lot, and then I got a drive-through for any of many different reasons. Might have been for hitting someone on lap one, might have been for cutting one of the chicanes (which I'm sure I did, without realizing it) So I served that, was still really mad, and then Kirill caught me. He wanted by really bad, and started getting dirty. He almost spun me on the straight 2 DIFFERENT TIMES, he took out Mike Erickson when we caught him (on the straight again) and finally got by after dive-bombing me into the hairpin. I was glad to let him go, he was driving me insane. The conclusion of my race came in the form of a complete computer crash, which didn't make me any more upset because I don't think it was possible to get much more mad, and to be honest I was glad to be out of that race. I was last, slowest car on the track I think, and miserable. So, good riddance to the GTX series, I won't be seeing you for a while...

well just about sums up a crap weekend,i dont know what ive done to offend the engine gods,but there sure pizzed at me :-)
still having problems with game despite a complete new install,reset all plr settings and was running good times again in practice,get to q cars like its on ice?started towards the rear and tbh it was like an open server race,what is it with u guys?despite all the warnings u still drive like idiots on the 1st lap,its a 75 minute race ffs,needless to say got punted not once not twice but 3 times on 1st lap eventually getting spun to leave me last lol,got back to pick off a few ,but damage meant i was struggling,got to pits and then everything i switched off in plr was back on,auto pit ,tyres ?long pit and pack out,hoping to get back to top 10 and was picking them off,but being a gent i let some leaders thru,but where do u stop,which was a mistake as i was running faster than some off them, and that lost me any chance of getting pts,even with slower pace the the engine blew and thats with rad 4,hopefully warranty is still good or im switching to stock :-)

Good quali and even better race (besides that stupid spin in front of Claus). Enjoyed this one very much and it was a good revenge for my fuckup with the fuel yesterday. Also watched some of the replay and yes ... saw some real madness there. I am really looking foward to the post-racereport of one of the 550-drivers. But I wouldn't be surprised if that report won't come. :-)
